Default Lost remote for mild to wild switch

Absolutely love the bi-mode exhaust that's now on my C6, but I'm having a problem.

To make a long story short, I bought the kit from a vendor on here. It came with two remotes. Well, I ended up synching it to the visor controls and pretty much didn't even use the remotes.

Now, I can't find the remotes (haven't used them in over a year). Of course this wouldn't be an issue except that I switched out the battery and the visor control needs to be reset.

I'm not even sure what the remote looks like. I have a couple in my drawer but they don't seem to work. I think the remotes I do have are for other things.

Is it possible to do the switch manually? Is it possible to resynch the visor without the remote? (I don't see how). Is it possible for one of you who has the kit to post a pix of the remote?

I think I bought the kit from Sunset Creations (who is an excellent vendor), and I PM'd him a while back, but haven't heard back from him.

In the meantime, I'm hoping one of you can help.

Tx in advance

If you bought the switch from Sunset Orange Creations it's not a M to W. It's an Exhaust Commander.

Just like you wouldn't buy Coke from a Pepsi dealer or Budweiser from a Coors dealer. The M to W is made by a banned CF member and sold by many Vendors, the Exhaust Commander that's sold by Sunset Orange Creations is made by and sold by Sunset Orange Creations only.

Why not try the remotes you have? I thought the visor control just mimicked the remote signal so the original remote should still work. The batteries should still be good, my SOC switch is 4 years old and still works fine with the original battery.

Doesn't Sunset Orange Creations site show pictures of the remote? (if he's still using the same supplier after a couple of years).

OK, it's starting to sound familiar. It was definitely Sunset Orange and it was definitely Exhaust Commander. I have tried the other remotes and no luck.

Well, here is the M2W remote:

and here is the current Exhaust commander remote:
FWIW I have the exhaust commander and my remote looks like the M2W one. I assume there is a receiver chip on the board that is married to the remote, but I suppose it is possible that they are programmable..?

No. I remember now. My remote looked exactly like the one in the Remote Commander.

Tx. I PM'd Sunset Orange Creations and will try and purchase another.

This should help. The code is on the box in the footwell

Programming the Lear Car2U visor to the Exhaust
Commander unit.

1) Start the car. The valves in the mufflers should be closed.

2)To input the code into the Car2U Visor System, simultaneously
press all three Car2U System buttons for a few seconds and then
release to put the device into programming mode. It can be helpful to
use something to press all three buttons at same time. The Car2U
visor is sensitive so a straight edged item works well to press all 3 at
the same time. The indicator lights will blink slowly after the 3 buttons
are released. Within 2 minutes enter your supplied Exhaust
Commander code settings written on the bottom of the unit from into
your Car2U Visor by pressing and releasing the buttons
corresponding to the code you have. Your Code is on the bottom of
the unit. L = Left visor button and R = right viosor button.

3) After inputting the code, simultaneously press all 3 Car2U System
buttons and release. The indicator lights will turn on solid.

4) Press and hold the Car2U System button you would like to use to
control the exhaust. During the time you are holding the selected
button the indicator light will blink slowly. Immediately (within 1
second) release the button once you hear the Exhaust Butterflies
open. You will also hear the Relay click in the Exhaust Commander
receiver. Do not release the button until you hear the exhaust open.
You may need to hold the button for 1-20 seconds.

5) The single indicator light of your button will (begin to) blink rapidly
when programming is complete. If all three lights blink rapidly and the
receiver didnt activate and the relay didnt click, repeat Steps 2
through 5.

When the Exhaust Commander opens the butterflies there wont be a
delay in opening, but when closing them there is a 3 second delay as
the GM computer needs to boot up and then tell the exhaust
butterflies to close.

Thank you so much. This is exactly what I needed.

What, no bi-mode? I think if I had to rate the favorite features of my car, bi-mode would be in my top three. Although those Borlas sound awesome.
