In my ordered and structured world a license plate that is not centered and straight is like fingernails on a chalkboard. It's like a ballcap worn sideways.

Interesting indeed.....this company is in Canada and apparently they have a different view of what is legal and what is not.....at least where they are. In my State this is completely illegal.... as I bet it is for most/many States. Logically speaking, how easy would it be to have a different number combo for anyone that doesn't match the VIN... Criminals I am sure would love it.....or how easy is it for a bad guy to just take it off ones car and transfer it to another ....

Actually, in Ontario, where that site is from, and the sticker plate is made, it is still illegal to have a sticker as a plate replacement. According to their DMV, it is worse than having no plate at all as it is considered forging a government issued document. Should the LEO decide do get sticky about it, it is a very serious fine, much worse than the $110 no front plate ticket.
Ontario doesn't even allow a clear cover over their license plates.
Unless the sticker plate is issued by the DMV in the state or Province, then it is probably illegal to have on a car.

I think you're correct about DPS is about the only LEOs in Texas that gives a big rats azz about enforcing the front plate .. that 'stick on' plate might not be legal but if placed in the correct place then at distance it sure might pass as being real .. and most DPS guys usually see you on other side coming toward you at speed !

Burning Brakes
I had my plate made into a decal
No holes drilled, no interference to the airflow into the grille, and nothing hanging below the splitter. I ran a bracket that hung below the front end for about a year (the fold away kind) and it scraped a lot.
So it is ugly to have on there but the least ugly way I can come up with. I had to put something on after getting a ticket for not having one.
As far as those that talk about the legality..... my read of the Ohio motor vehicle laws only say that the license be displayed on the front of the vehicle. It does not require the issued plate be used nor does it specify reflectivity, font type, or color.

carry your license plate in a sealed clear bag behind the passenger seat and when needed put it in the dash. I have not had an issue yet in NM, UT, WY, MT, CO, NE, KS. Just luck maybe.

Had one on the front of our Z06 when we went on the Corvette Caravan. Most places that do wraps can make them for cheap. One on the car and one on the small trailer we towed cross country. Think I paid $20 for two of each plate. CHP had no problem when called after we wrecked 180 miles from home after traveling 6000 miles on the trip.

I was at the cars and coffee show here in SA last weekend and a guy with a GTR had a sticker for his plate. I asked him where he got it and he said he had it made from a website called stickers banners.net
Said he took a photo of his plate and sent the dimensions and they produced it.

I've ran sticker plates in Texas for over 10 years, never had a problem. My Corvette has one too. I just have them made at the local sign shop.
