Touching thread. Grateful for that 0Ps recovery. I think I'm going to drive my car a bit more too. Like some of you for some reason I feel like I'm saving it for nothing. Can't take any of it with you so you got to enjoy it while you have it.

I drive mine every chance I get. It's not my daily driver, but that thought has crossed my mind a few times. However, I AM saving this car for someone, so I keep it looking pretty nice. When my daughter is ready for it, this beautiful car will be hers. I'll need an excuse to get my C7Z06 anyway...

Magie,
And thank you for sharing your thought provoking thread. Glad you are doing well. Your comment about driving the car versus saving it hit home with me as well-------this past year I have been trying to get over that "saving it for the next owner" flawed thinking, and your note is an excellent reminder that life is full of the unexpected and we should enjoy it while we can. Great thread!

Glad you came through it.
I had a 25% chance of surviving back I'm 09. It really wakes you up in realizing that the little things you stressed over really aren't that big at all. It's the pleasures of family, friends, and in most of our cases here....cars which is what life is about.
I drive mine daily and love it. It's black, and a bear to keep clean, but you know what? I'm still here to clean it and enjoy it with my kids and wife.
Never take any of those for granted. Cheers!

Magie,
Glad to hear you cheated the Grim Reaper. Now, it's time to heal, rehabilitate. and get on with doing the things you love. Your Vette will play a part in your healing.
It's all good!!

Glad to see your feeling better. Enjoy your car and drive it all you can. I can't speak for everyone, but I do know that when I'm driving in mine, nothing seems to bother me and my blood pressure drops about 20 points!

Maggie,
Thanks for your post. I'm so glad that you are doing better.
This forum is very addictive, informative, and it helps the days go by when one is not feeling the best.
We cannot take life for granted. We never know what lies ahead, so we must enjoy every moment, and let us not be the ones that say "I wish I'd driven my vette more" while I could.
These cars are meant to be enjoyed by driving them, not storing them for the next owner.

Glad you are doing better. A dose of mortality can change ones outlook forever. I don't daily drive mine but I try to drive it every day...usually 800 miles per month I shoot for..Still feels great to be in a Vette.
Good luck moving forward!!

This is a thought provoking thread. I am glad for the OP's recovery and driving of the Vette. I also have to wonder just how many others there are out there who have a similar thought on CF being something more than just a bunch of anonymous people "talking." Very interesting indeed. Be well and enjoy your car Magie.
...and here's to your recovery, Magie

Your post was an inspiration to us all. I too had a life altering medical situation and was lucky enough to get through it. I started driving when I was able and convinced myself that the more miles I put on the vette, the better. Best of luck to you. Remember, one day at a time.

Magie... it's good to hear you're on the mend, and enjoying your Vette again!!! I really believe it's good therapy to have a beautiful car that kind of lets us relieve the stress that health issues can cause. Glad to hear the forum also gave you a different venue for your thoughts.
I don't post much either since I'm relatively new to the Corvette community, but I totally agree with you! It keeps us in touch with the car and other enthusiasts, and it provides a lot of information at times! Entertaining at times, too!!
Wishing you the very best and a complete recovery!

Nicely stated perspective on the therapeutic effects of the Forum.
Corvette ownership is a great remedy for many ailments. Daily doses always seem to produce a beneficial result. The gas pedal is the epitome of self-medication.
Glad you're doing better, I wish you continued health, and enjoy you're recovery.

Good news and thanks for sharing.
One never knows how their actions will affect others.
It is nice to be told too, we should all take time more often to say thanks.
