Default Anyone else w/ MGW issue?

So I've had my MGW for about 2 years and love it! However, I've noticed from time to time, it's rather difficult getting it to go into Reverse.
I took the Vette in to get some service done at a local Vette specialist and was discussing the issue. His first question was; it that a short throw shifter?
Seems that's a common issue for short throw shifters.
News to me.
Anyone else with this problem?

I don't have the same issue with my MGW but it depends how you aligned the shifter when you installed it. If you call George he has a new aligning jig that will simplify things when you do the install and make the shifter work as specified.

I thought I read the MGW now comes with the lower "box" as well (since about a year or more ago??) so the entire unit is new stuff designed by MGW.

I had one for almost three years, and its not a problem, not any different than the stock shifter in that regard. How often do you change your clutch fluid? If its been a while you might give that a try and see if it helps.

No problem with mine at all so far-- As said above, give them a call. They can get it straightened out for you I bet...

Never an issue with mine and it is an early, 35% unit

I guess I'll give them a call. I change my clutch fluid every year, due soon. I don't believe my install job had anything to do with it, but we'll see.

No issues with either of the MGW shifters that I have had.

I now have the newest version with the lower box and it is GREAT.

Hope this doesn't sound like a dumb question, but could it be your reverse lock-out solenoid? There are several threads about replacing this part.
