Removing the Stock NPP Axle Back Possible?
Is it possible to get the NPP muffler and pipe going over the axle off without having the car on a lift? Plan on installing a Billy Boat Fusion system and was curious if jack stands will be high enough.

Is the factory NPP a two piece setup? If so, jack stands will be fine.
I changed out my Borla Atak that was two piece and went with the BB bullet that is one piece and I did it in my garage with all four corners lifted on stands. It was recommended to remove the factory xpipe at the front to get everything apart. You may want to check out the Fusion instructions to see what they recommend.

Had mine on and off several times just on jackstands. Go high right away, so you don't have to go higher later.

I've done several C6's with jack stands. Make sure you get the most height that you can. It is also very beneficial to raise all four corners. It makes disconnecting the centre section so much easier. Leave yourself plenty of space around the car. You can get the exhaust out without cutting the over axle pipe. Most if not all of the aftermarket set ups are two piece so installation is much easier. When I replaced the dual mode exhaust from my 427, I found that the right side was tighter than the left. I had to rotate it to a 45* angle to the outside of the car to get the over axle portion to come out.
Prepare to bust a few knuckles as well. Good luck to you.
