B&B bullets?
Anyone have any experience with them? I want a good sound but I don't want any drone! my TA sounded great with it's exhaust but the drone was the worst, definitely don't want to do that again!

Bullets are very loud, and drone on the highway--- noisy inside if you have a coupe

I purchased my 2010 coupe last June and it had Bullets on it. Bullets are great around town or when driving with the top off or windows down. However, they are brutal on any long trip at highway speeds.
There are two types of sound you have to consider with the Bullets - the sound of the exhaust itself (exhaust note) and the drone that is a resonance created by interaction of the exhaust and the cabin, etc, of the car. If you could drive 80 mph in 6th gear on a perfectly flat highway all the time, Bullets would be tolerable. Obviously, that isn't possible. RPM from 1700 down creates annoying drone - RPMs 2200 and above creates loud exhaust sound inside the cabin.
Short trips, driving around town and driving with windows down or top off, Bullets sound great - but, IMO they are incredibly annoying on any long trip. I plan to replace my Bullets this summer before I do our annual "vette vacation" in the fall. I'm still considering what exhaust system to get that will give a great "muscle car" sound but without the drone.

Thanks guy's exactly what I needed to hear! The wife & I plan on a couple trips this summer and there's no way I want drone again! Any suggestions on something that might be good?

Purchased my used 2005 in 2006. Original owner had put BB Bullets on it. Dealer said if I didn't like them, he would swap them our for a factory set up. In less than 30 days, I took the swap deal. Couldn't stand the drone.

I would recommend the Borla Atak. That's what I used to have, nice throaty sound and no drone.
I went with the BB bullets because I wanted a really aggresive sound and wasn't worried about drone. I grew up on Flowmasters and am use to it.

No drone on my '06 or '13 with Bullets. Drone is highly subjective. The Bullets are full 3", not necked down like most others--including the NPP, to 2.5" into the mufflers. And they have no mufflers, just resonators that make the car sound like it should. Lot of discussion on what you get hp-wise with various exhausts, but there is no exhaust out there that flows better, and if the NPP gives 6 hp, the Bullets would double it. As I said, highly subjective, but after having the Bullets on my '06, I ordered them for the '13 before I picked the car up.

I just installed a corsa sport axleback and it is drone free and fairly quiet when cruising below 2000rpm but then it gets LOUD, especially at WOT where it really loud. Beware of the reviews that say the corsa sport system is too quiet, because they are not running long tube headers. It's a bit higher pitched and sounds very NASCAR-ish. There also is a good amount of crackling on deceleration and downshifts. Because of my circle d stall converter I'm rarely below 2k in town, so people will usually hear me before they see me. If you really hate drone, Corsa is an excellent choice.

have an 05 A4 convertible with the B&B bullets and love them even on long trips with the wife. I cant say that I have a drone. I too, like Familyman, grew up with loud exhaust. Its why I bought an aftermarket exhaust, so I could hear it.

Corsa Sports- no drone. Corsa anything, for that matter- their entire mission with their exhausts is not to have drone (outside of sounding great and having great performance value). If they come up with a design and it exhibits drone during testing, they hit the drawing board again.

Bullets tend to be something you love or something you hate.
I love the sound, and have over a quarter of a million miles with them on my cars. Drone has never been a problem for me, as I have more than one gear to choose from. If they start to drone, I just shift or go a slightly different speed. Nothing else gives such a low rumbly sound of power on the LS2, LS3, and the LS7.

I'll recommend Corsa Sport. Deep and loud, little drone. I personally prefer the loudest possible, so bullets or SLP Loudmouth are my favorites, and honestly I couldn't care less about drone. I may have some Corsa Extreme for sale soon.
