Transparent top headliner
Has anyone tried the black top headliner for transparent tops? holds on with suction cups. Is it a good choice or are there better options?

I would like to know also....its getting to be that time of year....
I was thinking of peeling my other liner out(since its already coming apart) from my unused painted top.....and doing a suction cup thing with it.....

Used to be a couple of vendors that sold pre-cut static cling inserts. Keeps your head room that way and still cuts down on the heat.

Those are JUNK !
Make noises and suction cups come off...then you have to take it off and restick it....super pain in the butt.
I custom made my own using thick cardboard and foam padding. Sewed together some black microfiber....and epoxied it to the roof. About $25 in materials.
That clear roof is super slick and very hard to get things to stick to it.
If you don't want to make a custom headliner....I'd suggest trying to use Plasti-dip or something like that....or multiple layers of 1% window tint.
If you want me to post up some pics, let me know, and I'll do so.

I would not do it....I would bet in a day or two of actual sunshine, the corners would start peeling down on their own due to gravity.
The top is seriously seriously slick. Regular window tint MIGHT work because it has glue in it.

Plasit-dip is only $10 or less for a can. If you don't like it, you can just peel it off.
I would've tried it....I just didn't get around to it.

It gets to over 110º in the summer here and I've never been bothered by sun light or heat coming through the transparent roof. I keep the AC set to 71º and its as comfortable as it would be with the sold roof on.

Don't know where you got yours, but mine is not junk! It was put on three years ago and has faithfully stayed put, doing the job I needed it to do.

I have had mine for over 3 years also and it works great. But I also just put it on when the weather starts getting warm and then take it off during the cooler months. I don't put it on and take it off every day as that would be
Works great to keep the heat down. I also usually leave the windows cracked a little.

I bought a transparent top headliner four years ago and it sticks to my glass top just as well as the first day I bought it. You should occasionally wipe the suction cups with some warm water and mild soap. Best Mod Ever!!
