A '54 Ford Convert, pale blue with a white top. Bought from a Chicago cop that walked a beat at the Cabrini-Green housing Project in '65.

The first car I owned was a '58 Chevy Belair two door hardtop with 348 ci engine that I purchased in '63 during my senior year of high school. That car never lost a stoplight drag race.

Very few - first car was a Vette- guys.
Not surprising & no I only had an old Pontiac.
But no matter what 1st car - they all gave us the feeling of freedom.
And that's why we all drive Vettes now!

A 1961 Fiat 1200 Spyder Convertible. After a couple mishaps I traded for a '58 Chevy 2dr hardtop 348ci w/4Bbl Carb. It was a great car! It was Silver Blue w/white top! Neat lookin' car wish I still had it.

1973 Pontiac Grand Am just like this one. I bought it brand new off the showroom floor. Loved that car.

1967 Plymouth Belvedere GTX! 440 ci Super Commando, ran 12.9 @ 109 all day long! Pretty strong for 1974! Traded my first street legal motorcycle (1974 Honda SL-125) and $1200 for it without my parents consent! Dad wasn't happy!! LOL!

Of course I had to make $100/mo payments to the guy I bought it from since I was making $3.00/hr and didn't have the $1200!!

I nearly bought one of those from a guy I worked with at a grocery store when I was in high school! I thought that push button gear selection was pretty cool, and as I remember it had some kind of funky speedometer too. I thought it was cool looking, but even then I realized it was gutless!

Technically my first was a 72 Mercury Capri. Didn't have it long. Old lady pulled out in front of me and I nailed her totally the car.

I consider my 72 Triumph TR6 my first car. Still in high school when I bought it. Needed a ton of work but eventually it looked like this.
