1969 AMC Javelin. I saw my first Corvette in 1976 (the car was a '69). I didn't know what it was but I knew some day I was going to own one. Been in love with the car ever since.

GH53: I might have you beat. Pink with white top '61 Rambler American (the old 'bathtub' body that looked like a pregnant cat) with a flathead-6 and a column shift. The saving grace was that the bench front seat back would recline to make a full-size double bed. Definitely a drive-in machine!!! The oil pan was flattened on the bottom and would only hold about 2/3 of it's normal capacity from hill-hopping….and no, I have no idea why I'm still alive today.

Drifting
1965 Volvo 122. It was fun to drive but it was the worst piece of junk - I replaced the entire electric system twice. First, bit by bit; then a complete do-over. Then it threw a rod in Connecticut. I had it hauled to a junk yard with only about 65,000 miles on it.
My wife is on her second Volvo. She swears by them. Me, I'm allergic to them.

Burning Brakes
A 1955 Plymouth Savoy two door sedan. Has a small V8 (259 cu.in.) and probably would have run an 18 second quarter but it sure seemed like a rocket to me. 1st gear only lasted about 6 months and I learned how to slip a clutch real quick..

A $50 4-door `57 Chevy in 1966. Dusky Rose & Ivory. After a fender-bender in the Safeway parking lot it was Dusky Rose, Ivory and a pink left rear door! We had a very small wrecking yard in those days.
