Buying a used C6 question?
When buying a 06 thru 08. Is the 1lt interior ok? Or should you hold off on a purchase to find a 2lt or 3lt? thx

If you can do without HUD and heated seats and a few other creature comforts as I call them the 1lt is the same interior.
But if you must have those small things, wait and buy a 2 or 3 lt but you will pay for it.
For myself I choose a 1lt z51 lots of go not much show

Depends on your personal choice. Some guys want the options, others don't care. I usually buy the base vehicle and start adding or changing things. When I bought the Corvette it was a 3LT and I like the extras. It changed my way of thinking.

For me...
- Heated seats.. Really? who cares. I don't personally like them, but I guess some people do.
- HUD Eh, its neat but honestly I don't sit there and stare at that. I like watching the big analog speedo much better.
- NAV I think the GM Corvette navigation sucks. some disagree.
I guess I would say, if you find a nice ride, don't let the absence of 3LT keep you from buying. but I would suggest trying to focus on 08 models or newer to get the LS3 and some more ponies! :-)

I like the 3LT models mostly for the HUD. I like the memory package that comes with it too along with heated seats and some other things.
When I traded my '02 1SB vert for a new 2008 JSB coupe I bought a 1LT model because I did not think I'd miss the HUD. I really did miss it and my next two have been 3LT.
Test drive at least a 3LT model and see what you think. All of my C6s (three) have been 2008 because I wanted the LS3 motor and for my first C6 I wanted JetStream Blue (these were available starting in 2008).
If the extra horse power of the LS3 and a few other refinements don't matter to you, get a 2005-2007 model and save a couple of thousand dollars.
Good luck.

I have to agree that if you've had a 3LT optioned car, then it would be very difficult to buy a 1LT.
It's not that every option may be used, (heated seats) but if you want to use them sometime, you have them available.
It's much the same as horsepower. You may not use all of them, but you got 'em if you need them

I believe the 1LT did not have the airbags in the seats. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Just in case that matters to you.
Personally, I love the 3LT stuff and I use it all the time. Garage door opener, heated seats, HUD, memory seats, etc.

Hold out for a Z51 with 3lt options.
Sooner or later your going to want some of the options on the car, and a lot cheaper to buy the car that way, then to try to add them in later.

Interesing.
I have heads up now on my 03 and its no big deal. Seats are not heated which is no big deal as its only a summer car. My garage remote is in the ashtray so it works fine.

Sounds like a 1LT would work for you. Like stated above, I would not pass on a clean/low mileage 1LT waiting on a 3LT. Mine just happened to be a 3LT.

I just went through this.
I was unwilling to pay more for a 2LT, but I was and did pay a little more for a 3LT. I also would not buy a poor condition 3LT over a 1LT that was in great shape. That said, I don't think the trim level really did much to impact the prices of cars that I looked at.

Depends on the use and preference.
I'm an "options guy". I always HAVE to have all the gizmos. That said, I bought a 1LT for the low weight, and I don't feel that the options are necessary. HUD always seemed gimmicky to me, and I added heated seats myself for less than $100. You can also add HUD for $400.
The only things I wanted were steering wheel controls (I bought an 09 so they are standard), and heated seats. I got them both in my 1LT with less weight than a 3LT. Side airbags are a huge advantage and pretty important IMO, but oh well.

Get what you want. I just traded my 2003 for a 1LT 2013 with a 6 speed manual tranny. I did not care for the extra options. That's just me though. I am very happy with what I got. The main thing I wanted was the LS3 engine with a 6 speed manual and that is what I got. I learned a long time ago to do it right the first time and don't go cheap only to regret it later.

The only reason I bought a corvette was for the HUD! (jk).
I'm one for all the bells and whistles but would have really loved the seats with A/C instead of heat. It's a summer car for me so cooling is more important.
