It's because your Vette is silver! Ask me how I know.

Why are you going slow enough that a Toyota pickup can tail you?

Me too, I've had a lot of people want to race or pull up behind my sled really fast, or cut in front of me. Nothing but love and I've been driving vettes since C5's were cool. I really don't pay attention to people at stop lights or blast music loud or rev my engine either.

The worst thing anyone ever told me was some old lady asked if it was a firebird. I was insulted to say the least.

You clearly have not driven in Washington state much, have you?

Plenty of drivers here consider the left-lane theirs as long as they're within 5 MPH of the speed limit.

It's become generally frowned upon to be in the left lane and be going slower than the car behind you.

I always keep up the pace, or when I want to cruise pull right and let the left lane stay open.

Never had this problem.

You could've said; "Sorry you have to ride around in that POS".

AARP for 22 years already and if you drive slow in my lane you'll get flashing lights and/or a horn. Don't even think about slowing me down. I have a long list of places to go and not much time left, so move it or lose it.

I used to run into the "Vette envy" phenomenon all the time when I commuted daily on I270 into DC in my VR '06 coupe. Ran into an "I'm not gonna let this red Corvette in, I'll show em that my "pick your universal commuter car" is just as fast as that!". Decided to go stealth mode. I picked up a used gray Subaru WRX (no wings, spoilers, etc.) and tuned it so it was putting down 306 ft/lbs. to the wheels. Me and The Squirt quickly(!) moved without notice into whatever spot in traffic we wanted. You know what they say "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em - and then blow their doors off before they know it."

Just show them a Glock, pretty sure they will back off and give you tons of respect.

That's pretty much what Mr. Pinson did. http://fox10tv.com/2014/04/08/pinson...oad-rage-case/

Mr. Pinson's mistake was forgetting that you don't use a gun for any purpose other than to kill someone. Once you get it out to show it the safest thing to do is to make sure there is only one person left to describe the incident.

I just ignore all that s**t. I have far better things to do with my life. Besides, I'm driving an awesome 2013 3LT GS C6! I can't help it if it makes other non-Corvette owners jealous.
