Just to clarify, he bought a CTS Vsport (420 hp twin turbo V6) which is a very different car than the CTS-V (556 hp supercharged V8).
Exactly. I decided to get the new Gen3 chassis car instead of the Gen2 chassis. Cadillac is selling 2014 CTS in two different chassis, which I find confusing. I'm sure they will come out with a fire-breathing Gen3 monster, but I could not wait. Frankly, the 420hp-430ft/lb twin-turbo V6 is a solid powerplant. The car also uses the same rear diff as the C7 Corvette and combined make this car very quick and amazingly nimble.
Not as distinctive as a Corvette, but a stealthy Q-ship that reminds me of my 1991 BMW M5 (which was the last of the hand-assembled M5s).
