What is the average life of Goodyear tires on a C6 corvette?
I recently purchased a 2011 corvette coupe with 2455 miles on it, I'm still awaiting for delivery. Hopefully this week, it's coming from st Mary's, ohio. Do I need to worry about buying replacement tires soon or will the tires last for a couple of years?

Obviously, it depends on the type of driving and how much the driver likes to spin the tires, etc.
I've got a 2010 GS with 14,000+ and I've got the original OEM tires, but will probably have to get new tires this year, or next for sure.
On my C5, I got about 16,000 before I needed new tires. So goes the wallet of the Corvette owner!

I suppose each car & driver is a little different,,,base vs GS vs ZR1 ..Spirited driver vs go easy driver.. My '13 GS has 7k on it & tires are more than 1/2 gone front & rear,,I guess I fall somewhere in the middle as far as a spirited driver vs easy on the tires driver,,but it is a high performance car & I like to treat it as such, I will replace the OE Good years with another brand when the time comes..

My Goodyear F1 tires had 1,400 miles on them when I replaced them. But that was more for the upgrade to the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3.
I've heard 15-20k miles on the stock tires before needing to replace them as opposed to wanting to replace them.

I've had them on four different Vettes and I'm lucky to get 15-16k. I may get a few more out of the current set since I have a 20 mi freeway commute each way every day.

I have 15k on them on my 2009 and they still look new. I'm taking them off next week because I'm putting new Michelins on it but that's just because I like new tires.

My front tires were shot at 13000 miles. Even though the rears were a little better but I replaced all four.

Im at 15k on my 08, they still look great, but being they are approaching 6 years old, the shore A (rubber hardness) has gone way up....i have a shore A durometer and its telling me unless i want to spin and slide, its time to change shortly.

My fronts needed replacement on my 05 at 14700 to pass Md. State Inspection. Rears were in good shape. Dealer replaced.fronts with OEM tires and did an alignment. Learned a lot here on the forum about the Goodyear tires. Will change all 4 to Michelins when needed.

I have a 2010 Vert with 30 k on the clock. My tires have another summer on them left. Not unlike The Wolfdogs mine are hard and noisy.
The highway has been my friend in the long mileage on these tires. Two trips to FL. and one to OR.

My OEM tires lasted 34K, including lots of trips to the dragstrip and some long (5K+) road trips. I got 33K out of each of the next two sets of Invos. Currently running Bridgestone SO-4 at 116K on my '08.

At 71k miles ...on average I get 20k miles a set.
Best of luck with your new ride. Exciting time before the car arrives. Post up photos and impressions once you get behind the wheel.
The only downside of owning a corvette is once you do.....no other car seems to compare.
On my. Third one and just can't see why. I would want another brand of sports car.
The corvette delivers driving excitement in spades.

Well said……on my 3rd Vette as well…..left Vette world 7yrs ago, but the intro of the C7, Museum sinkhole news, etc. brought all the good Vette memories back and BOOM….bought a low mileage 12 GS!
