2012 Corvette Grand Sport Transformation!
Greetings!
It's been a while since I posted! I'm executing a transformation project on my '12 GS and wanted to share progress on it here! But first, what's already been done!
Here's the car as I purchased from Mike at Boardwalk Chevrolet in 2011:
Then, sometime between then and now, I addded:
-Edelbrock 599 HP supercharger (custom tuning by Synergy Motorsports), measured 522 RWHP, 523 ft/lbs torque
- Yellow brake calipers
- M2W switch (NPP fuse pull was actually the first thing I did after signing)
- ZR1 front splitter, side skirts, spoiler
- Blacked out side markers w/ nightshade, eagle eye taillights w/ smoked cover
- Custom speaker box housing two SWR-T10 subwoofers and a PDX-M12 amplifier, Alpine INA-W910 receiver/w rear assist camera
- Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires
- Window tint, 35% side, 5% rear
She's run twice at Thunderhill Raceway and once at Laguna Seca. Best lap 2:20 at thill and 1:58 at Laguna -- I still have a lot to learn out there
But that's what is -- here's what's currently on order for her:
- Z06 exhaust replacement from the block to the X pipe
- Akrapovic Titanium axle-back w/ 5" carbon tips
- Replacement splitter (cracked )
- GM carbon fiber halo
- Carbon ZR1 splitter
- Carbon license frame
- Carbon mirrors
- Custom racing numbers
- Carbon GS markers w/ yellow lettering
- Oracle side markers, ghosted lenses, black housing
- Complete incandescent (interior/exterior) light replacement w/ Oracle LED
- Oracle lighted rear Corvette emblem
- APR carbon rear diffuser w/ LED reverse light kit
- Complete custom Caravaggio interior with 2-pillar gauge pod, tan/black/carbon fiber leather/alcantara color scheme, daytona seats with embroidered Grand Sport headrests & carbon shells
The exhaust is currently being installed -- the diffuser, lighting, and spoiler should be in in about 5 weeks.
The interior will probably take the longest.
I'll keep updating with pictures as I get the parts installed
SUPER excited about the interior -- I've seen dozens of pictures here of John Caravaggio's work.

Thanks! I can't afford a haircut right now after putting the deposit on the interior but I'll get to that
@mcandrew67 - my head doesn't fit in with the rental helmet I had and the stock seats. The Caravaggio seats are supposed to be lower and I'm going to pick up a helmet of my own for the next track day as it's kinda freaky to look back at the pics and see how much it stuck out

Way to use your car for some real fun!
It looks awesome.
And dont let all the fuddys tell you to get a haircut. They're all just jealous of someone that has all their hair.

You have been busy with the mods, you got yourself one awesome looking Vette and I am certain it runs pretty strong. Have fun!
