Not everyone worships their Vette like it is something really special. Not everyone had to save money all their life to purchase one. Not everyone treats their Vette like it is an exotic sports car.
Some people treat their Vette like it is a 2 seat fast Chevy.
To each their own.

+1. I know this forum is full of people who wait 50 years to buy one, Keep it in the garage and never drive it, A spec of dust on the car is enough for them to put a coat of wax on the car but to alot of people, They just buy these cars to drive to the ground then move onto the next. They are not exotic cars, They are not some super rare car. They are an alternative to an SUV or Truck, Which both can cost as much as a C7 and lets not even get started on the C6 and C5.

At least she's not a litterbug. It's her car to take care of (or not take care of) however she wants. We each have our own standards. I try to keep my Corvette looking 'nice' but I'm not **** about it.

Just don't buy a demo from that dealer.

I keep mine clean as I can because I want to, and sometimes it gets pretty dang dirty. Hope I don't get banned for posting that.

I bet she walks through the grease spots in the parking lots too. Then tracks it in the car.

Said I could call anytime to see how it was doing. A little over the top? Maybe, but those of us that love our cars understand. It certainly doesn't rise to the level of our human family, but is in there somewhere. Maybe it is just a sense of pride. I agree that it is a sad thing to see a beautiful car neglected. But that goes for anything of value--------

Sounds like a real skank. Probably swims in perfume to hide her BO also.

I saw my first C7 on the road Sunday and it was so absolutely filthy I couldn't tell what color it was. Some of us care for our cars/homes etc. and some could care less, it's what makes the world go around.

Sure, it's just a car to her, and that's OK. But I've always believed in taking care of your stuff. You don't put away a shovel with mud on it, you don't cut wood with a dull blade, you change your lawn mower oil in the spring. In a sense a car is a tool also; respect your tools.

I am a perfectionist and want everything around me to be the best. Here is a picture of my wife and me standing in front of our Vette. I detail the car myself and never let anyone ride in the car that has any mud on their shoes or dirt on their clothes.

One time when I was in the middle of waxing my relatively new pickup truck, my father walks by and asks me, "why do you spend so much time cleaning that truck, keeping it perfect takes all the fun out of getting a new one". Those have been words to live by ever since. Sure, I still wax my cars but I know they make new ones so I am not going to worry about every little thing. I drive and enjoy my Corvette as much as possible. Let the guy who saves $30K off of list by buying my 2 year old trades worry about cleaning it all up.

Hubba..Hubba Tom. I would say you struck the jackpot with that woman if you weren't as hansom as Brad Pitt yourself.

Is it just a car? Well, not for me. I have highly modified and customized mine and enjoy showing it off. It has been in numerous "invited only" car shows.

I try to keep my '05 clean and show car ready, even though it goes on road trips from east coast to west coast, and north to south. It's definitely not a garage queen, although it looks like it at cars & coffees, cruise nites (just about every day from Spring thru Fall), and car shows. It has appeared on tv in a tire company commercial, in a recorded interview on a tv show, & in a car magazine.

Last October, at the Super Wheels Showdown at City Hall Plaza in Boston, my vette was given the Cruisin' New England Magazine Super Wheels Showdown 2013 Cruise Vehicle of the Year. It was recognized for having driven it over 10,000 miles last year across the USA (including road trips from Boston to California, and Boston to Bowling Green) and still maintaining show quality appearance in spite of never being trailered.

My wife likes to keep her vette really clean; we traded in 2 corvettes ('96 & '07) in January, and she now has a '13 427 vert. We're just waiting for the last little bit of snow to melt so we can take them out. Supposed to hit 50 on Saturday. For me, that's good enough to put the top down.

You know; I see some potential. With the car not the people. Ok that wasn't nice. I hope they are happy.
