Deltran Battery Tender Plus
I just purchased a Deltran Battery Tender Plus. Sometimes I go weeks without driving the Vette. Can it be left on the entire time? Any suggestions?

I have the Deltran Battery tender JR. and it stays on my car from October to April. Never a problem.

Someone on this site explained it better than I can recall. Had something to do with reducing the sulfating on the plates that occurs in the battery as compared to a much smaller motorcycle battery. I use Jrs on my motorcycles but they're only around 300 cold cranking amps. The Vette's battery has 600 or more CCAs. The Jr charges at .75 amps and the Plus at 1.25 amps. You're proof that it may not really matter but maybe the battery will last longer using a Plus vs the Jr. My bike batteries typically last six years or more, one lasted over eight years and they're always on Jrs unless I'm riding them. Deltran makes good stuff!

Deltran does make good stuff !
I once read on Deltran's website that they recommended the Plus for Corvettes (as opposed to the Jr.)
due to all of the electronics/modules being active for longer after the car had been shut-off.
I'll see if I can find that again...

NO,NO......don't leave it on the entire time.....remove it before you take the car out for a drive, unless you have a very long extension cord on the battery tender.

Right now I'm using the battery tender that came with the car. But I used the Deltran on my last Vette when I stored it during the winters and had no problems whatsoever.
