Do you park next to other Corvettes at the shopping center?

I would most definitely park next to them. At least then you don't have to worry about ONE side of the car getting dinged! Seriously, I don't leave mine alone in a parking lot like that too often.

I always park next to another Vette, if they are parked out away from other folks. And then, I will leave a space next to it whenever possible. If they are parked in the crowd where my car will be at (extra) risk, fugettaboutit !

Yes, if my other side of the car is also protected by a nice car or a non-parking space. One side protected is not enough. Otherwise, I park away still.
I do this with my mustang too, not just my corvette.

It's interesting that a lot of members mention protection.
When I asked the question, I was referring more to camaraderie - like two Jeeps or two run-down VW beetles parking next to each other - neither of whom would probably be much concerned over door dings.
