My guess in the past Vettes have always been a mid life "thing" or empty nester gift to self. With them becoming more attainable and less of the old man's sports car/mid life crisis we will see more younger drivers breaking that stigma. Perhaps they feel they have something to prove?

70+ 2011 GS. Previous was a C5 coupe. Usual excuse for waiting, family, job, time, etc.. Now I have one and the rest of my life has gone to he**! So what else is new?

Some of us are just immature and want everyone to be impressed with ourselves. So posting about how young we are and how we have a Corvette and how awesome we are boosts our fragile little egos. I consider it a side effect of the majority of our generation getting participation awards and never being wrong or hearing "no".
