The Grand Sport still has it:)
Yesterday was beautiful here in Colorado and I have not been able to drive my 2013 GS for about three weeks as I just had neck surgery to replace some disks.
Wiped down the Crystal red metallic paint with my favorite can of Pledge and a couple of microfiber towels and went for a drive as I needed to get out of the house and buy a few things. First big box store I parked at people on one side of me kept me there for 5 minutes complimenting me on the car and color. Went inside and came out and 4 guys were standing there and had a bunch of questions for me as well. I should mention about 60 feet away there was a white C7 parked with no one around it.
On the way home pretty much every red light the driver and passengers in the other lane were posting thumbs up to me.
The C6 GS design is going to well liked for a lot of years to come

I couldn't agree more! The arrival of the C7 to the casual Corvette fan is the best thing since slice bread, but for me, the C6's have so much to offer that will never get dated!

pledge? i've seen it before posted on the forum people using pledge but i dismissed it as being a prank (jokers.) since this isn't a post on waxes you seem sincere enough. so let me ask, how long have you been using "pledge" on your gs? it does no harm to your paint whatsoever? one more question. do you use anything else besides pledge? i've used zaino, rejex and duragloss on my nrbm, but never pledge.

This is exactly the reason why we bought our 2013 Grand Sport in June instead of waiting for the C7 to come out. The C7 may grow on me in a few years or I may just have to wait for the C8. For me though the C6 is just pure sex, especially the wide bodies.

People can laugh all they want but nothing seems to make the paint pop as much. It gives dark paint a deep wet look.
I use a lot of different waxes and my current favorite is Black Fire. Pledge is when your car is just a little dirty and you want to wipe it off just before taking a drive.

Keeps bugs from sticking.
ETA: It will create a build-up on plexi-glass and should be cleaned off after a few uses. We used it on our UH-60 Crew Chief windows to help water run off during the cold months. If it wasn't cleaned off with window cleaner periodically it would build up and leave a haze on the windows to the point it was hard to see under NVG and Night Unaided FLight.

Car is always garaged and it was dusty. A light spray of Pledge and a wipe with a clean folded microfiber towel removes the dust and makes the car look like it was just waxed.

After attending Carlisle last August and sitting in the C7s and looking at a bazillion other Vettes we came away loving the GS look and that's what we bought a couple months later....

It is all personal and subjective but I really love the C6 wide body. The Z51 C7 is a superior track car in the upper 2-3% of the performance envelope compared to the GS but let's get real here, unless you are on the track you will hardly ever be able to access that advantage. However, the stunning good looks of the GS/Z06/ZR1 are on constant display for everyone to appreciate. I'm a particular fan of the GS with its '65/'66 C2 inspired front fender vents. We took our Torch Red GS to Palm Springs this week and we turned heads and got positive comments everywhere we went. At one restaurant the valets bickered over who got to bring it up from the lot and when we parked at our hotel a guy walking his dog came up and asked if we had knew about the sinkhole disaster at the National Corvette Museum. I was washing her when we got home and someone else asked if it was a special edition of some sort. This stuff happens ALL THE TIME! The the wide body C6 has been on the streets for like seven years and people react like it is new for 2015! Is it better looking than a C7? Well, that's up to you but I stand by my view that the C6 wide body with its classic curves, powerful lines and limited "boy racer" ornamentation will be an enduring, even classic, design.
By the way, two options I didn't know I wanted but now couldn't live without:
1. Genuine white w/silver GS Heritage front fender stripes.
2. NPP Dual Mode exhaust with the foot operated Mild to Wild controller.
Both are great fun.

Love the look of the GS. The base C7 is lacking the "kick-***" wide body stance, but the C7 ZO6 has more than made up for it.

Pledge...oh the things you learn in here!
Just bought new2me 2010 GS in Crystal Red with 2LT Cashmere. Love it, even though since it came home 31Dec2013 it has done nothing but sit in the garage. The snow in upstate NY has just been unreal.
But since selling my beloved C4 and getting my GS I have been reading C6 threads like crazy and learning so much of do's and don'ts. I love and recommend the forum to all Corvette hobbyist I meet.
Even though I agree all generations a great, to include the C7. I was in the dealership admiring my new ride and sitting next to it was a C7. For me, the lines and style of the C7 just do not compare to the C6. I'm sure with time it too will grow on me, but for now a C6 GS and Z06 are just plain sexy and nasty.
Here's to hoping for a hot spring and rapped snow melt. the cabin fever is killing me and the open road is calling me.
