Default Where have they all gone? Pilot sport a/s+ ZP 285

Last fall I bought 2 new tires for my 2005 easily, but this "spring" I can't find them anywhere for the rear. Anyone have any info on the
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus ZP 285/35/ZR19???

When I bought mine in early January, I was told there were only three available... I bought two.

On the Michelin site there is banners that something new is coming.
They are also sending out coupon codes to lesson inventory.

Knowing Michelin, something extraordinary is coming.

For the MC side they released the Pilot Power 3 last fall and the Pilot Road 4 is coming very soon, probably during Bike Week.
I cleaned up on clearance tires for my bikes for the 2014 riding season.

Thought that these we're being phased out in favor of the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 tires that were released last year?

I was going to buy a set of those in the spring. But I don't want something I can't replace easily. I just called Michelin and they said that while the Pilot line is nearing end of life, these are not scheduled to be discontinued. They say they get at least 6 months notice. I also was told that these are the only ZP tires that Michelin has in this size with no direct replacement on the horizon.

I just talked to Discount Tire. They say the 19" are backordered and Michelin has no production date. Could be 45 days before they're available.

Tire Rack says the same thing.

I talked to Michelin and they said not discontinued, but no planned production for the next 4 weeks. I think they can only look 4 weeks ahead. I can't find any around here in stock.

Today Tire Rack is saying it could be a couple of months. Might need to look for an alternative. They also said that the only one they carry that is All-Season ZP is the Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position RFT. I'm not a fan of Bridgestone. Anyone used them?
