Default Dashing through the snow in a 436 Hp C6

Haven't been to C6 General in a long time. I see a lot of familiar names are still posting here. Your all welcome in Off Topic if you need to talk about "anything".

My newly aquired Silver C6 in last nights 2 inch snowfall. Still have the Arctic White one that was here a bunch in the past.

Haven't had mine in the snow yet, but I drive it to work about 30 miles on the day before storms, and then the highway dept. comes along and sprays their brine mixture on the road for my ride home. I hate that stuff, but it's better than rock salt I guess.

I don't make a habit of it, but mine has seen snow too. Much better pic than under a cover in a garage.

I guess I could back mine out of the garage.
Nice looking new Vette, Larry

Steve R. "...but mine has seen snow too..."
--------------------------------------

Mine has technically "seen" snow if it happened to look out when I open the garage door to get the snow-blower out....

I didn't exactly "dash" out into the snow; I merely backed the car out of the garage for a pic, after plowing the driveway. Fortunately, I have a 4X4 Tahoe for these kinds of days...

LOL. That pic was taken on top of Vail Pass last April on the way to TX for BBORR. Here's a pic of it when I got to Denver. Things that you never see on a Vette - lots of brown ice.

We get snow in feet here, not inches, so none of the Vette snow adventures for me. I've got an AWD Mercedes sedan and a 4WD F250 to handle that stuff. The Corvette has been tucked away in the corner of my garage covered up and plugged in since late November, and will stay there until a few good April rains wash away all the crap they dump on the roads here and some of the craters get fixed.

Here in the Portland Oregon area we've had our first city snow in five years. I have Continental DSW All-Season tires... they've been on a couple years now... working out real well.

Went to the Costco today, not many people out on the roads.

It has been fun back in C6 General today. I had forgotten what it's like to see Vettes in a thread. I may return here often.

to some peope a vette is just another car to be driven in snow, salt, and all kinds of crappy weather.get all the underneath pitted and rusty.to each his own.that is fine until they go to sell it or trade it and the dealer or prospective buyer looks underneath and sees pitting, corrision and offers them a lot less for it.that is ok too, unless the seller complains he is getting low balled or offers that are not what he thinks it is worth.i would ask all the guys that are proud of driving their car in salt that if they were going to buy a vette would they buy the one driven in salt or not.
