Online stores (rant)
WTF is up with these stores nowdays? Every time I an browsing and add something to the cart, just to check the price of tax and shipping to CA, I get a f**** email reminding me that I did not finalize the purchase. Yesterday I even got a damn phone call from them wanting to know if they can help me complete the transaction!??!?? Do they think we are complete damn idiots that do not know what the 'checkout' button is for??? I am getting sick of this crap and it seems like it is only prevelant with vendors selling Corvette parts online. In 43+ years of shopping I have NEVER once had this type of annoying 'service'. It is getting to the point that I want to make a mental note of NEVER dealing with that vendor again!

Yeah, I've started seeing stuff pop onto the side panel of Yahoo! mail and other Google searches. Amazon is even sending me email that they offer the same product...

Melting Slicks
There is a banner from MotorcycleSuperstore and the Michelin tires I just bought...
I bought three sets, how could I need more a week later?
I know cookies, but it is annoying.

Caught one online site that asked for my card # before giving me a final price. Couldn't get to the checkout without giving your card # first. No idea of what price I was commiting to (final price/shipping/handling,etc). Backed out and found another company with the same product.

A reminder about posted language on the forum.
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/foru...-language.html
Inappropriate language
The Forum’s software is set up to block certain words and terms we consider to be inappropriate for use on the site. Typically, the words and terms included are those that are crude, vulgar and/or involve racial epithets.
That does not mean the software will block all inappropriate words or phrases. Setting it up to do so would be an exercise in futility because we wouldn’t be able to identify everything that should be included or the exceptions when the term or phrase would be acceptable in a particular context.
Altering the spelling of words/terms to bypass the blocking feature of the software is in conflict with Forum rules. Moderators try to show some tolerance if the word/term is altered enough so as not to be blatant. As a guideline, moderators often will ignore an otherwise inappropriate word or term so long as at least two letters of the word/term have been omitted or changed to symbols, although that should not be interpreted as a license to sprinkle inappropriate language with symbols in a thread.

If this indeed the case, one should act like it.
As for the sites, some have opt out options for future adds and, although hard to find at times, their use can eliminate future contact. Plus, you can report sites to your carrier or search engine provider. Most vendors on this site provide a great deal of positive service for CF members.

My biggest problem is forum vendors here get almost free roam to do whatever they want. Regardless of the forum they are cluttering it with sales threads. For Sale is damn near useless with all the forum vendors constantly bumping their own sales threads.
