Default Will the average age of C6 owner go down?

The new model has the Corvette back in the limelight.
More younger people have a C7 on their wish list but can't afford one.
The C6 price is only going one way (for a long time at least).
Not sure what the average age of a C6 owner is now, but I'm sure it's up there.
The current insurance thread:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...nd-31-a-2.html

got me thinking....

Be nice to see some younger blood at the Vette shows. The last one I went to was combined Corvettes and Camaros. It was amazing the two distinct generations. Vettes, age 50+ while the Camaro guys were mostly in their 20s-30's.

I'm sure as the average length of time we live increases the older Corvette owners will be. It will always be that the younger generation will be busy raising a family, buying houses and sending children to school. Some of them can afford a Corvette also but most don't have the time of care about it.

It's because the Camaro is more affordable in that age demographic.

When I die, it's a good bet that the next owner will be younger than me.

Yep I'm 69, and it will be passed on to my daughter, which has helped me build motors for all my classic hot rods. So it will be in good hands.

No. The way the economy is going down and the cost of cars gong up I think you will see an aging of the demographics. If you see and up tic on the age, you will need to offset that value with loan forfeitures. I would like to see younger demographics with the car as it keeps the brand expanding.

You know a weird thing I've noticed is that the average age of the C6 owner of my car keeps going up.

Empty nesters can have a 2 seat sports car plus a DD. Younger people with a family not always in that positition.

Natural evolution, as the C6 ages the price comes down to where the average younger people can own one.

It's happened here already, look at some of the mods ......

Oh no! I must be doing it wrong.
Is it OK if I just call my old pickup the DD and continue to drive the Vette everyday?

Hello from the C4 area. Hopefully I'll be able to move up to a C5 or C6. But at 63, I may not live long enough.

In general, I've never understood why people (usually the twenty-something's) care what the AGE of their fellow car enthusiasts is... Are they going to talk about/share their passion for cars, or are they just looking to use yet another venue as a hookup/lets-go-clubbing opportunity?

This isn't directed at you, Z_Mon -- it just seems to be a recurring theme here and I just don't see the problem.
