Mag Ride
I've had 2 C6's with F55 I love it, with all the pot holes or the road. My 05 went 7 years with no problems. My 12 GS had both front shocks replaced for leaking with just 8K on them.
Still if I were to get another Vette it would have this option

I have it on my 2007 and use it's adjustability all the time. In sport mode it really tightens up the car and in tour it does soften the ride. I wouldn't own a Vette with out it and will get it as an option on my next Vette or any other car it is offered.

Reading a couple of these comments makes me scratch my head about why people buy a sports car. If you want to better understand how MRC affects your ride do a Google search.
There's a video out there that SHOWS you how it works. It's not something that you feel just toodling down the road, it greatly affects how the tires stay in contact with the road when you're driving hard and the road undulates, or when you hit an off camber turn at the top of a rise under hard acceleration, then MRC comes into play.

A GS with Michelin PSS's is going to pull over 1.0 g in a turn, how much better are you looking for? And again, for what purpose? If you want your car to handle more like a race car you can do that but the ride will be greatly compromised for daily driving. If this is going to be a track only vehicle then yes, you can improve over the stock system. If you want a car that is both comfortable and performs admirably at the track then a stock GS with MRC is quite an amazing machine.

I love it and will never buy another corvette without it. Theres allot more to it than allot of people think. At each control arm there is a servo type contraption they tells the computer system exactly where and what each wheel is doing at all times. Its pretty cool stuff. Here is a short video.
One other thing is the option was around 1800 hundred on mine so I am getting the GMPP warranty soon I got the thing in the mail and that is 2000 so I look at it as a 3800 hundred dollar option which is worth it to me.

I just purchased a 2013 3LT GS and the only option it did not have was the Magnetic Ride Control. It was not a "deal killer" for me. It does have the F53 suspension (I think correct option number) and I like a firm sports car feel all the time anyway.
Two friends just bought 2014's with the Magnetic Ride multiple settings and as a passenger could not feel a large enough difference to warrant the cost.

I have the F55 suspension and don't regret it but when I was looking for a new vette and I had to decide between two cars this option was not be a factor. It's okay, but I won't be tracking my vert. so I really won't get max. benefit.

I've had C6s with it and without it. The difference is not huge, but noticeable and variable depending on how rough the roads are where you do most of your driving.
I've only seen one posting here on the forum where the Vette owner said his shocks were leaking and would have to be replaced.

Where I see the difference is The same as Cyber Greg. If you don't drive the car hard on roads like this IMHO your not getting the bennefits the system provides.

Non-MSRC will be a fixed rate for compression & rebound. The benefit of MSRC is that they can vary both of these over a very wide range over 1,000 times a second. Spring rate on an MSRC car depends on whether it's a base C6, a GS, Z06 or ZR1. If I remember correctly, the base C6 with MSRC is about the same spring rate as the base suspension. The GS keeps the Z51/GS spring rates and uses different tuning for MSRC matched to those rates. I'm not sure if the Z06/ZR1 is the same as the GS, but if not the same, it's probably close.

Don't think I clearly answered the question. It's really not accurate, but in general:
Non-MSRC base suspension C6 will be similar to Tour mode MSRC.
Z51/GS/Z06 non-MSRC will be similar to GS/Z06/ZR1 MSRC Sport mode.
