Default SEM interior paint

I'm converting my interior over to the tan/cashmere color and there are a couple of pieces I can't find. I want to use a aerosol paint/dye like SEM but I can't find the correct color match on the internet. Does anyone know where to get the tan aerosol to match the GM color?

You should be able to have it color matched locally? I know I had some made once

If you can't or don't want to do the local custom match and aren't stuck on SEM, Mid America Motorworks has the C6 colors and preps:

Thanks the Mid America is perfect but it is backordered. Who knows how long, if ever they get it. I've emailed them for an update. Any other sources?

Oh, didn't know that.

Have you checked Dupli-Color, VHT, etc.? Automotivetouchup dot com has limited interior colors. Check their FAQ page for info.

I would try the local custom match but.......you may not want to. I'll look around and search today to see if I can find anything others have mentioned.

Like the others have mentioned, a local autobody/collision shop paint supplier should be able to mix up a color. I've used them with very good results. If you don't have access to spray guns & equipment you could always put the mix into one of those setups that are available at Home Depot with the glass jar & aerosol cartridge.

Just be aware that a dyed part can't take much of a hit. They will scratch easily, so if the parts you are painting are pieces you are not going to touching or rubbing against, then you will be in good shape, otherwise you will need to be carful and make sure you brief your passengers.

SEM paint and materials are really good and I've used them on some classic cars I have done and really makes them look like new

Brand name. Popular with auto paint shops, restorers, etc.

SEM is OK, Did the same to mine.......get ready to become good at touching up every so often on the side plastic parts on the seats (especially the drivers seat)

Everything else was available and cheap except the seat plastics and I have yet to find original back available. Good luck with the project, it's an easy fun weekend!
