Stolen 2009 Z06 Silver
Hello All,
I just had my 2009 3LZ Z06 stolen from the front of my apartment in Oakland, CA. It has a B&B exhaust and split 5-spoke black chrome rims. License plate: 6SGB727. If anyone sees it, please call the local PD. Thank you very much all. Such a sad day.

Personally, I wouldn't want my car back after it was stolen...too creepy of a feeling. This happened to me once and the emotional element is hard to explain. Also, there is the possibility that the car was mistreated while away from you. I'd rather collect the insurance money and purchase another Corvette.

Onstar said they can not track it without an account because it dismisses the connection entirely once an account is expired. The only way to reconnect and establish a connection is manually through the button in the car.
I agree... I wouldn't want it back since I don't know what it's been through now.

WOW! sorry to hear that, hope they find it soon and in good condition but more then likely its been chopped up. I'm eye for a eye, if you get caught stealing then you should have your hand cut off! IJS.. Can't stand a thief

Sorry for you to read this.
I have had 3 cars stolen. It seems horrible, but its very common, and in every case things worked out ok . . . just gotta let the system work.
Probably towed it away in 30 seconds . . . that happened to me with my Acura .
If the car is not recovered you get a check and can go get another car. If the car is recovered, which happens alot, the car will be repaired and detailed perfectly, and you can keep it or immediately trade it in on another car. So get your rental and start shopping. And with the new C7 out, another Z06 should even be affordable.
Also maybe look to see if there are any security cameras on any buildings that may have filmed the theft occurring.
Getting your car stolen sucks for sure and feels even worse, but it usually works out ok, and years from now it will just be a crazy story .
Hang in there and good luck.

Smart money says it now sleeps with the fish.
Good news is as other members suggested, once the insurance company cashes you out you'll be in an excellent position to get the new Z06. Best of luck whatever you do, sorry to hear.
