Default I made a mistake...how much will it cost

Last February I sold my '90 Vert 6 speed and bought a '13 1LT coupe A6 with 2 tops. Paid about $40K. It now has 900 miles on the clock. Big mistake.

I want to move on to a C7 Vert M6 when available and would like to anticipate the cost. I'd like to trade in the C6 if I don't loose a bundle or sell privately if its not a hassle. I'd appreciate your thoughts but don't roast me too bad. Thanks in advance.

You'll probably get mid 30s on trade if I had to guess.

Advertise it here on the Forum C6 for sale section. See how it goes. Don't forget to include your asking price. The Forum sales section gets pretty good results from knowledgeable people.

The big mistake will be buying a C7. But you don't want to hear that so...

You aren't going to get hurt too badly. You should be able to easily get $35K anywhere any time for a 2013. But if a $5K hit bother's you then do you really need to be moving up to a $65K car?

This.

Your '13 purchase sounds like it was a good one. You might consider waiting one year and grabbing a "left over" / used 2014. Good luck.

In my VERY humble opinion...I'd stay with what you have until the C7 gets the bugs out....

There is quite a list of 1st year problems....

Good luck with you decision....!

I agree. You bought at a good price, so you shouldn't lose too much. What's wrong with your car?

Curious as to why you think you made a mistake?

I really do have to agree w. the others: you made a helluva deal on the '13. I would wait even for a '15 if you can hold out that long. Every month, every year, the bugs and things will be worked out, or get better. Can't hurt to wait unless you just must have a convertible right now.

...or if you are one of these people who always "need" to have the "newest thing", consider that the 2005 C6 was the "newest thing", then in 2006 the C6 ZO6 came out, then the ZR1 came out.

There will always be a newer version coming out.

JUST DON'T TELL YOUR DEALER HOW MUCH YOU PAID FOR THE CAR AND SEE WHAT THEY OFFER YOU! I don't know what mistake you're talking about since the C6 is light years ahead of the C4,and I loved my c4's, and you bought yours at a great price. Is it a GRAND SPORT COUPE or a regular coupe??Makes a difference.

This is exactly why I bought my '13 GS and not a 2014 C7.

I bought my '13 GS in April when the C7 was already out. My car was $64,200 and I paid $50,000 out the door. How could you go wrong.

U should be able to get 40K back for your 13 selling it yourself. It's virtually brand new with 900 miles. A6 & 2 tops plus all the standard upgrades now on a 13. No problem. It's all in marketing the sale.

Put it in www.autotrader.com for $80 till it sells and www.usedcorvettesforsale.com for 20 till it sells. Craigs list maybe. CF for sure. Start with a price of 42500 on it. Someone wanting a like new Vette will find 40K to be a bargain compared to 50K after current discount. Remember that not everyone is into the C7. Have good pics.

It should sell by spring just in time for top down weather in your C7.

You drove the '13 less than 900 miles in a year. Perhaps you should consider selling (or keeping) the '13 and renting a C7 from hertz two or three times a year. Would save you serious money.
