Just curious as I plan to get an exhaust and wonder if that will attract attention to the type of people who assume I will want to race them or do a burn out at every stop light.

Yes, it will probably attract a little more attention. I just look at them and smile.

One rule of a loud exhuast is that you have to down shift every time you drive by a hybrid. Downshift twice if its a prius.

it's what you do with those people that really matters. If you just smile and wave and take it easy, it'll show them what you want...

A car like this will draw attention no matter what. Of course the Honda Si's will always try to out run you. I keep the burnouts strictly at the track

The look of the car alone will bring challengers, mostly mustangs to be precise. Let'em pass.

I will be swapping exhausts soon but already adhere to this in my truck (Silverado with Magnaflow) and both bikes!

Even with a stock exhaust on the car, I regularly get goaded by some V-TEC badged, fart-can equipped piece of crap. I just laugh and ignore them...

I always get harassed by ****** in BMWs. It's like they don't get they have no chance. Mine has NPP exhaust, so around town it's pretty quiet.

My buddy has a very loud exhaust, and he has every ******* on the road wanting to race him. SRT4s, Mustangs, BMWs, trucks, doesn't matter. They hear his cam and loud *** exhaust and try to get him to gun it. I half think they just want to hear it, but I dunno.

So yes, in addition to the normal attention, a louder exhaust will increase your attention levels. And it's important to rev at Priuses no matter what kind of exhaust you have.

If it is safe & worthy, I crush them! If I'm driving my Darth Vader Bad A$$ Black 87 V6 (9 second) Buick than the Vettes aways wait for me to slowly leave the light and then follow from a safe distance.

PS: The last thing I can remember crushing (bad) was a car show 383 cu.in. 68 cuda. I guess he thought Corvettes & their drivers are real candy a$$es. I think he may think twice next time. "AND" I like Mopars!! Had a 70 Hemi Cuda.

No. Maybe it's the C6's reputation, or maybe it's the sound of the dual mode exhaust, but it hasn't happened yet.

Sometimes I get ricers that try to egg me on when on the freeway but I ignore them. I also get Mustangs and BMWs that rev their engines by me on rare occasions. Most of the time I don't experience anyone trying to get me to race. Maybe a louder exhaust would cause more attention from these guys but I don't know since mine is stock.

I heard a Mustang revving it up at a stoplight once and a 370Z kept up with me from a spirited but by no means serious green light launch. Other than that, no. I do light em up occasionally on an empty on ramp. It's really fun on cold tires on a cold morning with the traction control turned off. Stabbed it going around a corner once...that was interesting! Likes to change direction really fast, like the rear tires are on ice!

No. Data indicates 50% of Corvette drivers are age 61 and over. Many kids don't want to race senior citizens. Not cool.
