Default Advice on Pro Auto Transport please

Can someone recommend a place that can transport my C6 from south jersey to Massachusetts?

Anything I should know? My plan is to ship enclosed. Anything else I should know or ask a transport company?

THanks

I used Intercity to bring my GS from NH to Ga, great company and great service. I think they are a vendor on here.

vette-oholic,

Intercity Lines will be glad to give you a CF rate on your move. Please let us know where in NJ to where in MA and we will be glad to give you a price on this move.

Thanks,
Jim

Funny I contacted Intercity Lines about shipping my car from Chicago to Atlanta and was told they do not ship that route....

I used FedEx, go to their site. Used them once for a Steda Mustang I bought in Boston and shipped to VA and a 69 Z-28. Very professional and safe.

I got prices from a few companys and Im shocked that I cant get a multiple car price break. Think it would be cheaper to buy a enclosed trailer and tow with a U-Haul truck.

Another vote for Intercity Lines.

A few years ago I arranged with Jim for Intercity to transport a car from Orange County, California to North Carolina (enclosed of course, which is the only type of auto transport they do).

Price was fair, received a discount for being a Corvette Forum member, pick-up and transit of the car was prompt (especially considering the distance involved), communication was good during transit, and the car was transported with the same type of care and attention to detail that it would have received from me if I had done the transport myself.

When the driver picked up the car he went through a close inspection of the car with the owner, and then went over the same inspection when the car was delivered...to show that the car was delivered in the same condition in which it was received (which was pristine in this case).
I prefer dealing with honest people who show attention to detail, and the folks involved with Intercity are professional and honest.
I was 100% satisfied with the entire process.

About 5 years before I used Intercity, I had used another auto transport company for a different car.
Without getting into details, let me just say that the auto transport carrier you use can make a big difference...they're not all the same, so you can't just "shop your pocketbook" when deciding on a carrier.

I wouldn't hesitate to use Intercity again or to recommend them.
In fact, I wouldn't even consider another company if I had to have a car transported again.

I can't speak about Intercity but I just used Plycar for my enclosed transport from RI to my new home in NC. They were great. Also, the fact that they are used by Callaway helped make my decision.

Plycar shipped my 'Vette from Texas and a TTA from Louisiana for me. Class operation that I wouldn't hesitate to use again.
