What frustrates you most about others driving habits
My pet peeve is when a vehicle in front of me can not go until both lanes (same direction) are clear.
Instead of turning right in the closest lane then merge/change to the inside lane when it's clear.
Compound it that they were texting instead of focusing on driving. This happened on the way to work I politely gave them a light toot on the horn ......and I get the finger. This was not in the mighty C6 as we are dealing with full on winter in Montana.
The thoughts that struck me was they are not a contentious driver and have poor social skills.

Driving in the left lane! It is the passing lane so if you are not passing get over. I don't care if you are going 180mph, if you see a car behind you let him pass.

Most drivers are this way.
My pet peeve is lolly gagging, slower traffic keep right and throttle up when merging and use your turn signals.
Oh and the new age practice of cell phone use while driving, it is an epidemic around Silicon Valley.
Freaking divers are morons anyway then they add the distraction of texting.
35 years of commercial driving big rig and I have seen it all and it isn't good.

Don't get me started. Do mean things like
Not signaling to make a lane change or turn?
Not stopping at stop signs?
Blowing though red lights when making a right turn?
Driving with no lights on after dark?
Left hand lane'rs?
Texting, talking, on the hand held phones, reading the paper, eating a donut and coffee at the same time?
It seems that driving is the last item on the priority list of many things done in a car while moving.
Oh, I am sorry but it seems that police officers seem to be one of the many violators of the highway traffic act. No seat belts, no turn signals etc. Sorry guys I respect the hard job you do but you set the example for the rest of the travelling public. I mean it is the law, right?

What frustrates me are people that tailgate within 5 feet of my bumper at freeway speeds. In general, there is nowhere to go and if there is any kind of braking situation they will run right into my backside. Generally I will speed up, change lanes and let them go by but sometimes traffic doesn't allow that.

Left land hogs are a nuisance and a pet peeve - texting drivers seriously **** me off. Yet no matter how busy their hands are texting, smoking, eating, applying make-up AND trying to drive, they always have one finger available for me when I honk at them!

The idiots on the cell phones are the worst. The idiots that stay in the left lane doing under the speed limit when the right lane is clear and then when you try to pass they speed up are the second worst.
I have to remember we live in a ME society and nobody cares or thinks about anyone else anymore.
I don't even blow my horn at them anymore it only sets up confrontation. A couple of years ago I blew the horn at an arsehole for doing something stupid. We stopped at a red light. In his agitated state he proceeded to get out of his car and approach my window as though he was going to punch me or hurt me. I opened the door rapidly and harshly knocking him back and proceeded to kick the stuffing out of him. When the police arrived he went to jail and I went home. Lucky I was. The stupid idiot didn't realize I had a gun the entire time and could have blown him away.
I make it a practice to just ignore idiots now. I smile as I pass them when they flip me off. That makes them even more indignant and mad.

I only get annoyed at tailgaters if I am in the right lane. No cause for that. In the left lane, if you are going slow or matching the speed of the person in the right lane then you deserve to be tailgated. If I had tires hanging on the front of my car, I would bump you to let you know to get over. Seriously, left lane campers are the rudest people ever. Just get over!!!!

The following annoy me to death
1. Not using turn signals
2. Not paying attention (including the following subtypes)
a. Not knowing where you are going (wrong lane, cut over last minute)
b. Texting or Holding your Cell Phone (hands free doesn't bother me if you can keep Driving priority one!)
c. Leaving too much space to the car in front of you, and allowing others to cut you off
3. Driving slower than traffic
4. Not accelerating
5. "Policing" Me (aka driving slow or "tandem driving" so others cannot drive fast)
6. Getting upset at others because they are upset by your bad driving (example is I try to pass on right, person speeds up, I cut back behind them, they then slow down.)
7. Not understanding how your car reacts (acceleration, braking, turning) and therefore you drive like a putz.
Things that don't annoy me:
1. Tailgating (most of the time the person tailgating is upset about one of the things I listed above).
2. Left lane camping (if you are going 5-10 over the posted speed, I understand you don't want to constantly have to deal with idiots in the other lanes, and you fear that some slow person might try to pass another slow person if you cede the lane).

What gets to me is when a semi decides to pass another semi by going .00000000000000000000001 mph faster than the other one.
Then he ties up the left lane as he goes 60.0000000000000000001 mph in a 75mph zone. This goes on for 15 to 20 miles and the left lane gets stacked up 40 deep. Once he finally gets past and back to the right lane it takes 20 min for the left lane to unwind.
I reserve the longest finger for this special driving situation.
