Hope not because I have half those miles in half that time .

Indeed. I work from home, and have other cars, so don't drive much. But when I can take it on a trip, I take it, rain or shine . And enjoy the heck out of it. And yes, I basically just use it for trips.

My definition of a 'garage queen' is a car people don't use because they don't want to put miles on it, don't want to wear it, and don't want to get it wet. Or a combination of the above . I used to be like that, but not anymore. I still like to have my cars immaculate after trips and rain, but I don't even think of not using them because they're going to get wet or 'pile up' the miles. My problem is wife says it's too stiff, even in 'tour' mode, so have to take our regular travel car instead of the Vette sometimes. It's also quite a bit noisy here in the crappy desert southwest roads. But hope new Pilot Super Sports allow me to take it more often. Have been trying to sell it to buy a '14 Porsche Cayman S instead, but after the offers I've gotten, no way in hell I'd give it away, so will keep it .

If no one has mentioned it, we recently had a thread from a lady with 250,000 miles on her 2008 A6, and the car did it's first 25k as a Hertz rental!
She uses ordinary Mobil1 5W-30, and only changes it when the OLI tells her to.

These are durable cars.

I have a 2010 vert with 29K on it. It sets most winters 5 to 6 months. Lots of E-way miles though. It has made the trip from Mi. to OR. , two trips from Mi. to FL. and lots of road trips up and down the gold coast of Lake MI.
I do treat her like a Queen .

2005 Coup Z51 6-speed. I bought it in October 2012 with 44,000 miles on the clock. It currently has 60,075 miles on it now. Mine is my DD and I love it.

Mods: LG Superpro long tube headers, Route 66 mufflers, Vararam CAI, and a custom tune. I just had it dynoed two weeks ago and it put 380.49HP & 378.65TQ at the wheels.

That's a garage queen. You weren't supposed to click on this thread.

My '08 has 45k miles or so and gets driven year round here in Colorado. Mid 20's and sunny this morning. It's sitting here at the office. Of course, it sleeps at night in a heated garage; it's nice getting it at when it's 70* and backing out of the garage on super cold mornings.

I bought my 2008 November 2012 with 10,388 miles on her. Odometer turned 26,000 miles last week, so that's 16,000 miles in one year. Most of those miles have been since it became my daily driver May 2013. Drive it!!!!!!!!

I would classify that as a 'Garage Princess', not quite a Queen.

Some guys (or maybe gals) here are pretty funny. I've driven with many guys who brag about the mileage they've racked up and talk about us garage queen owners....but couldn't drive their cars to half their potential to save their lives...

Just because you may drive your car, doesn't necessarily mean you DRIVE your car....

And yes I clicked....WHAT!!

It is not the length but the quality of the drive that is important, IMO.

I bought an '08 z51 in the middle of Sept. this year with 12,250 and it now it has 18,500. Granted 1500 of that was driving it from it's previous owner's home of Baltimore to mine in Dallas.

I picked up my '10 GS on 2/26/10 and it has 41,369 miles on it. It's definitely NOT a garage queen. It even has a blemish or two on it. But on the OC side, I do have an Excel spreadsheet keeping up with my miles so I can spread them over the entire time of the warranty. I managed to finish up the original 36 months with a few thousand miles left over. Right now I'm 804.6 miles in the hole (I just did a 2,600 mile road trip to Colorado & Utah...) but if I don't drive it again until December 21 I'll be about even. That probably won't happen! I have 37,721 miles or 1,170 days left until my GMPP runs out - also calculated on the spreadsheet.

I like spreadsheets...

06 3LT C6 with the A6. Currently @84K daily driver with stall, headers, ported fast, ram air ss cai and mbrp axleback that runs 11.90's. My next mod is either cam or centrifical sc.

I drive yr round in WI with multiple sets of wheels(snow tires in winter). I do get a lot of surprised looks while driving it in snow.

People drive rear drive porsches in winter so why not a vette with proper tires? Porsche even holds snow driving courses

I guess I am about as far to the right of being a garage queen as one could get.

....what a good thread idea you have started! As a new first time Vette owner I am loving reading about these DD Vette owners with major miles makes me feel great. My mechanics encouraged me to do the Vette thing when I mentioned to them in October I was thinking about some new toys....boat...or 56 T-bird (continental kit)...or 58 Bel Air...or...they both blurted out "buy a Vette." They love them because they are straight forward to work on and reliable as hell.

On October 19th I dipped my toe in the pond and picked out one of your Garage Queen specials and didn't even know it.... I got my offer accepted to my surprise from a dealer that just got in an 05 Z51,3LT, MN6 with 25K on it in really showroom condition. It has a little story to it (don't they all) and by doing the math the previous owner ordered it when he was 65, had all the service done at this local dealer and then it pretty much sat in his garage the last year before he brought it back to the dealer to buy it back from him. He brought it in on a Wednesday and it took him and hour and half to say goodbye to it and I was fortunate enough to buy it on the following Saturday.

The salesman said he was suffering from Alzheimer's and couldn't drive it anymore and I was choked up a bit when I got home and connected all the dots when I opened the glove box to take out the manual and it was covered with post-it notes..."put it in Reverse"..."plug in battery tender"...etc. and it hit home because that's how my father went out too!

While I felt I hit the jack pot with this find I had to tell my insurance agent about the purchase and he asked me to ball park the annual mileage. I figured it would be similar to my bikes and driven in nice weather and in winter storage for 4-5 months so I said 5000 miles. Between all the golf, busy weekends when our weather is finally nice and the motorcycles I thought that was a good estimate of time being divided up. Now that I know what to call it...I figured I'd be the next "garage queen" owner which was Ok by me. Even while I was shopping for this one I already knew I was going to look for a three year old C7 and trade up...I do love the looks of that one too!

But a funny thing happened when it landed in my garage. Much like the previous owner I delay every time I'm in the garage and just look at it. The look of it especially the front end to me is mesmerizing and I can't look away! I already see a problem with this one becoming trade bait to the C7 one day...to cool for drool.

So here is what happened in the 28 days I had it before storing it...2467 miles...with the high of 52 during those days! So I got a bad feeling the Victory Vision is going to sit even more....and...I'm going to have to call my insurance agent with a new estimate....
