Do you have the dual mode exhaust option? If not, this is not for you. If you have the dual mode exhaust (NPP) you can pull the fuse and the butterfly valves stay open all the time. The Dual mode system stays closed, for a more quiet exhaust mode, unless under heavy acceleration or the RPM's are over 3500ish. Use Google or You Tube to get some visual help.

Be ready for some drone when you are on the highway doing 60=70 mph in 6th gear....... I installed the mild to wild switch on my 427 so I could have it loud in town but avoid the drone on the highway.

I'm also an "old hot rodder" and enjoy the popping sound of the flaps open. Word of caution - along with keeping the flaps open the system also enrichens the fuel mixture. Thus the black exhaust pipes. And it is this extra fuel that is still burning after leaving the cylinders that gives us the pleasent sound on deceleration. So, you'll get slightly worse gas mileage (if that's an issue for you) and a little more cleaning to do (if you're particular about your exhaust's appearance) with the flaps open. Personally, as long as I can afford it, I'm going to play with it...

Firebug. How complicated was it to install that? Just plug in at the fuse box? Which install did you do? They offer two, suggesting a second version if your car is not driven in the winter for extended periods of time.

I bought a slightly different system, which has a small switch on the dead pedal like the old headlight dimmers.

Seldom activated by mistake
No battery drain
No extra fob to lose, break, or go dead

Didn't know they had 2 models. Mine is a daily driver. It's just a couple wires. It piggybacks on the fuse and then a ground. Very easy to do. It comes with a couple remotes. I have the remote attatched to the lower dash on the right side.

If you choose the no-drain option, your NPP valves will be open on start-up and while running UNTIL YOU USE THE SWITCH OR REMOTE to close the valves. I typically keep mine open when I'm running the backroads but close them when in the neighborhood or cruising on the freeway to minimize drone.

I installed the Sunset Orange Creations M2W on my '13 GS a few months ago. Simple as putting gas in your car if you can read the instructions. Floor mat pulls back without removing any interior trim, fuse panel is in complete view with layout exactly as shown in the SOC instructions, and it's a about a 2 min plug-n-play. You only need a 7 mm wrench/socket to remove/replace a ground wire. The install so easy it could be done by a blind, one-armed man with a bad case of poison ivy.
