Yes 189 MPH with my GS at 5200 rpm and 7mpg fuel consumption 
, had my son take the picture of the speedometer.
Wanted to push the 6500 rpm range but run out of runway, car up ahead of me on that mentioned Nevada road section.
My advise on the Autobahn, be very cautious.
Most cities now impose a 160 KM max speed law, and you will find this also imposed in intervals on the unlimited sections,depending through what city it intersects.
Speed camera's, and ignorant tourist who will hug the left lane doing 120 KM per hour in the left lane, while you come over the hill with 180MPH=288KMPH is no joke, and no passing on the right in Germany.
Lived there for 30+ years, been there done that.

normally i find areas that test my reflexs to go 160+ mph , school zones, road construction areas, mall parking lot, downtown houston, mine feilds.
