How much should cost for all brakes and rotors at a dealer- 2008 corvette coupe
Hi all,
Any one know how much a Chevy dealer will charge to replace all four brakes and rotors for my 2008 Corvette Coupe.
Thanks for your help....

The easiest way to answer that, is to simply call your local dealer, ask for service and then ask them that exact question.
I am going to guess and say it will be around $1,000.00. You can most likely do it your self for at least half what the dealer will charge and if you can get the parts at cost you will save a lot more.
Based on the GM Parts House price list, the parts from them will run you around $400.00. I did a set of the GM Delco drilled and slotted rotors with Hawk pads a few year ago on my C5 and I had just under $300.00 in parts.

Rotors already? Do you have a lot of miles on it? If so, probably a good idea to change the brake fluid too. Brakes are simple enough to not have to go to the dealer to get done. You can do it yourself or any halfway decent mechanic can do it. Parts aren't too bad either. Pads, oem or a/m, under $150 for a whole set. Rotors are ~$300 for a whole set.

I sent you a PM with a link to what I have been running for the last 30K+ miles.
232.00 is pretty good for a base coupe.
Another 10.00 for brake fluid and 40.00 for a MityVac and your car will feel like new again.

did my own F55 MSRC with OEM drilled rotors and matching OEM semi-metalic pads last year for approx. $650. including shipping for the parts.would probably cost 3x that at a dealer

I just had mine done 2008 C6/performance brakes and it cost about $1400. This was at a Chevy Dealer since they held my car hostage after a brake inspection.

Better off doing it yourself or trading in for a newer model.

You dont really need to do that just changing pads and rotors. The calipers dont have to be disconnected from the hoses. Not a bad idea to do it anyway if its been a few years though.

I remember from my high school days changing drums pads, and it was a bit of a hassle. I've done all my cars and most of my family member's cars for years. Modern stuff is quick and easy to work on unless there's rust involved. Even figured out a way to bleed em myself without expensive gadgets.

Other cars like the Trans AM I had had front disc and rear drum. I am not skilled in this area so I have to let the professionals handle it.
