Default Headed to the track tonight.. What should I run?

Like it says, Im headed to the track for the first time in this car. Had it about a month. I live in Texas weather should be perfect. Specs on car are:

2008 C6 1LT A6 NON Z51

Trans: Stock
Rear: Stock 2.56
Tires: MT DR's
Only mods are CAI, fan shroud mod, Longtube Headers,no cats, Stock 2.5 X, Borla Axle back.
Also the car is UNTUNED (stock shift points, still has TM and all that jazz)

My guess is 12.20's whats yours?

12.20's is about right, of course if you can launch that Vette without major traction loss it could be lower.

Of course you're aware that there are soooo many variables.

That said, with everything working well, including the driver, I'd say high 11s with a good hole shot, and clean shifts, to high 12s, or low 13s, with the mistakes we all tend to make on occasion.

Since this is your first time out with this car, I'd guess at 12.5 +/-.

Good luck!

Very True! Tires should stick well tonight so hoping that will play a good part.

I'll go with 12.0x best pass. I went 12.6 on my 1st trip in a bone stock C6 and had a 12.41 before I started any mods. So I see no problems with the car's ability. Now the driver is the unknown.

Is there anywhere to race in Phoenix now that Firebird and Speedworld are closed?

As far as driver, its a pretty stock auto car. I've had many Higher HP M6 Cars and also big converter cars so not much driver skill involved with this one.

Headed to the track tonight.. What should I run?

^ Well, assuming you are about average, and a 10 minute mile is considered a average time, I would say you should expect to run about 2 minutes to 2 minutes and 30 seconds . . . . . .

Firebird is reopening in Dec under new management and a new name. They're currently pouring new concrete to the 1/8 mi point. I hope the new people run it better and more often.

Speedworld is permanently closed.
