Default Anyone running a 295/30/19 on the front?

Here is the thread that I started in the Wheels and Tire section of the forum.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/whee...post1583206889

"Hello,
I have been trying to find an answer to this without any luck so I was hoping someone can point me in the right direction

I just purchased a set of CCW SP550's in 19x10 front and 20x11 for the rear. I got a great price, but the previous owner did not keep the barrels cleaned so they are off being powder coated at this time. I was told the best sizes for these rims are 275/35/19 (26.6") and 305/30/20 (27.2"). I want the Pilot Super Sports, but the 305's have been pushed back until September of this year per the rep at Michelin I spoke with.

I had also looked at the PSS in a 275/30/19 (25.6") and the 325/25/20 (26.3"). I was told by John at CCW that the rears would balloon the side wall out as an 11" rim is a little narrow for the 325/25.

I have used Toyo R888's before and like them, but the closest set up for me they have is a 295/30/19 (26") and 315/30/20 (27.6"). Has anyone ran a 295 on the front of a standard C6, and if so, did you have any issues? Pictures are welcome and encouraged!!!

Thank you"

I have 295/30/18s Toyo R888s on 18x10.5 TSWs on the front of 2005 as my daily tires.

I had some rubbing issues with wheel weights that were on the inner portion of the wheels that needed to be removed. Other than that, I think they fit fine, other than my car is a little lower than I would like for the given fender/tire gap. With the 19" wheels you should be fine as long as you have the correct offset.

A 295/30-19 tire on the front of a standard C6 seems huge to me. I would think there would be rubbing issues, and that large size may negatively impact your handling balance? Just my thoughts . .
