427 & Little Brother!!
I thought I would share with my corvette brethren some pics I took yesterday of my two beauties.
While separated by 46 years and 5 generations, they do have a few things in common.
1) Last of the model year
2) Significant (historical) engine names..327 and 427.
3) Manual transmissions
I feel fortunate to have these two. They are my enjoyment and my therapy. Over the years my corvettes have enabled me to meet some wonderful people...a few of which have become dear friends.
2013 427..Well, you know!
1967 red/black coupe 327/350 4 speed tranny, numbers matching, 411 rear end, big block hood, side exhaust, vintage a/c. Lots of fun.
I do drive them both. The '67 has gone on some longer treks, but because of the 411 rear usually goes to the closer cruise-ins lunches/brunches with friends.
We all have our favorite generations. The C2 is my favorite generation. I first fell in love with corvettes upon seeing the mid-years when I was a kid. I was bound and determined to have one one day. Made the dream come true about 11 years ago. I've had C5s which I loved and now I am enjoying my C6 427. Amazing to see the evolution of the corvette. Whatever you have, enjoy!

WoW Awesome! You got two awesome rides. My dads favorite corvette is the C2, mine is the current C6. Every once in a while I will buy my dad a C2 diecast model for his model collection in the garage. First time I ever rode in a corvette it was with my dad, he was test driving an 85 car and he got it on the highway and made the speedometer blink. Maybe that was an 84 car actually, I don't remember. Anyway, sorry to get off track here. Love your cars and the pictures are awesome!!!!!

Two great cars, enjoy them both, and hope to see you and the cars around town. Perhaps you should swap out the rear end, so you can enjoy C2 ride.

Awesome. It's gotta be tough deciding which to drive. Nice problem to have tho!

Drifting
I'm considering a C2 purchase in the next two years, as it's my favorite design of all time. Yet, I've never driven one. Is it true what I've heard: that it drives like an "old truck" compared to a modern Vette? What's your comparative experience?
BTW, beautiful pics!

Thank you.
You are right on the decision part!
Thanks.. I think!
The rag tops are beautiful too. Either way, you can't go wrong!
Thanks!
Actually, yes!.
It is definitely an experience. Do drive one before you get one.
Radically different from driving a newer one, but definitely fun!!
Mine does not have power steering.
Thanks!
