Default Granatelli custom tuned MAFS

I am considering putting an aftermarket cold air intake in my C6 and was looking through the Mid America MotorWorks catalog and ran across the Granatelli custom tuned MAFS. Was curious if anyone has ever purchased this product and what their opinion is, what cold air intake they use and if they had to perform any additional tuning to the car after or was the MAFS good right out of the box.

I had one on my C5, thought it did nothing for the performance, but never had the car on a dyno. Just seat of the pants..........

From the past....

This brand had ported MAFs for the LS1 and they were quite a challenge due to the codes they threw. If you want to tune your MAF, have it done professionally with a wideband and a dyno.

They might have improved by now but I was not impressed.

My $.02

Thanks, There are so many products out there that you really don't know if they live up to the hype or not, appreciate the comments.

My car had one on it from the original owner when I bought it. I never had any issues with codes or anything. I changed it out because of the recommendation from the person I got my tune from. I can't say if there was any difference since I got a tune at the same time as changing it out. If you're interested in trying it for cheaper than new PM me.

I have one on my H&C LS2. it would give lean codes until I added a Halltech screen along with my Vararam. I don't think it did anything for me except cost me $ and headaches. don't waste your money.

Yea! Right?

Look at the ad claims on their coils, plug wires and such.

But... but... but.. It's got the "name" on it! It has to be really helpful to your car's performance!
