bras.for the car not girls or yourself.
Trying to decide on a whether I want to buy a bra or not .
I do not like them but want to protect my black nose paint on road trips.
I was going to buy a cheap stretchy style but Im afraid it will scratch the black paint Im trying to protect.
The more expensive ones look hard to remove and take up too much storage space.
Driving it to move from ma to fl. in the next few months.
Any ideas or input?

I don't use anything in my 60K mile road trips to date. I just keep the front polished and remove bugs after each day of driving using a gloss enhancer spray.
My front end looks good, with no rock chips etc.
If your concerned, then perhaps you should think about clear bra. That will protect, stay on and be hardly noticeable.
My friend has a Blue Z06 with the clear bra, and it's not noticeable unless you look real hard to see the edge.
He is **** about getting any rock chips, so the clear bra keeps his stress levels low.
I personally like to keep my car looking good, but I'm not obsessed about it like he is
Here is a pic of mine on our road trip to Augusta GA this spring.
Bugs removed and HP wand washed/ dried after a full day of driving.

I keep mine well waxed, its an '08, only 14k miles on it but lots of track time. I figure I'll just get it repainted at some point if it gets bad.... probably cheaper than a clear bra anyway (don't quote me on that)

oh.....I forgot to mention that my friend's Z06 has the clear bra, and it's a garage queen, so chances are it will never get a rock chip unless the house vacuum cleaner chucks a rock from the vacuum outlet
Did I mention he was **** about keeping his car pristine....for the next owner

Hate the clear bra. The last trip I put on this special thick silicone wax and the bugs wiped off easy but found a few slight nicks in the clear which is why Im thinking bra.
The cheap ugly ones sound good because I can remove and store it fast when I get there before anyone sees it. but if its going to scratch the paint whats the use.

I just picked one up and had it on for the AMS event. It just seems that every little nick and chip in the nose irritates me. I like to keep it shiny.
The amount of crap that hit the nose on Sunday was worth every penny I spent on it. I picked up the GM one from another forum member but I could not be more happy. It has already saved me quite a bit of irritation and the fit is actually quite nice.

Speed Lingerie all the way. For long trips there is nothing better. It's not hard to put on and take off once you've done it a few times. It's worth the extra money too, trust me.

clear bra. period. 5 plus years on my black 08 z06. remember it can be applied anywhere on your vehicle, including headlights. no road rash anywhere. i drive on the expressway everyday.

I had something fly off the road hit the nose and put a small gash in the paint. Wish I had a bra on then. It would have protected it. I now have a GM bra and put it on before all road trips. It has saved my car's front more than once and I have no damage to the clear coat from the bra. You have to make sure your car is spotless clean before installing it and also that the inside of the bra is spotless. No grit, dirt or dust on either surface. When I remove the bra I also wash it inside and out and hang it to dry. When washing make sure to clean it good where it snaps in the wheel wells.
I do keep a good coat of polish on the car and put a fresh coat in before installing the bra for road trips.

I have had venture shield clear bra installed on both my vettes and my wife's range rover. It is an amazing product that is well worth the money. I will not drive a vehicle without it. The key is a good installer.

I hate the look of some bra's on cars BUT, I bought the speed lingerie bra in my car color. Need some protection on trips. Just got it last week so haven't put it on yet

You might want to try the following when going on long trips. It solves the problems of paint chips, storage (none) and appearance.

The key here is it's a quick on, quick off. Only used for road trips and it does not scratch. Wash it in the washing machine. Nylon and it practically comes out already dry after the spin.
