C6 Jacking question
Does anyone have some good pics about where to jack up the C6 and where to put jack stands? I'm looking at getting some jacking tools soon. I plan on getting race ramps, harbor freight or Omega jacks look good and some stands but where should I put everything.
Do you jack up the whole car if you just want to take off one tire to clean the wheel or just use the jack from the side enough for the tire to clear the ground?
Thanks.

There's a good diagram of where to jack and put jack stands in the owner's manual.
You don't need to jack the whole car up to R&R one wheel.

Today is the first day for a new rebate offer from Race Ramps. Get an 8% rebate on purchases of $250 or more and a 10% rebate on purchases of $500 or more. Combine the rebate with the Reverse Logic store-wide 10% "SAVE10" coupon code and save more than 20% off MSRP. This rebate offer is good through 31-Dec-2013.

I was looking at that same beam at HF yesterday and wondering if it would work for the Vette. Web info says it adjusts from 28" to 37". Is that a narrow/wide enough adjustment range to utilize the jacking locations on Bugman's diagram? Another question I had is that, even with a low-profile jack, it doesn't appear that the jack-beam combo would clear the front splitter, so I presume you'd still need ramps?

What is the diameter of the pin on the Cross Beam Adapter? Older steel floor jacks usually had a 30mm stem on the saddle and newer ones with a removable saddle seem to have a 25mm stem. I have not seen an aluminum floor jack with a removable saddle.

I really like the looks and practicality of the steel adapters shown by ncvette.

Here is yet couple of other versions:
"U" channel was prototype mock up. Rectangular box is 304 cres.
Utilizing front shipping slot and jack + homemade jacking pucks, without low profile jack or drive up ramps, first jack up one side install these under tire contact patch or frame rail, then the other, and the whole car is up in the air. Instead of metal, elevated stands can be fab'ed up using wood to the stack height desire:
And after use, storage space footprint is small indoor or out:
There are many ways to skin a cat. I guess being in the middle of Pacific, to avoid getting rap by 99% of shippers, we have to be resourceful.

At Reverse Logic I found that I can get many of the products I offer to HI without a shipping surcharge by using USPS Priority Mail or Parcel Select. This includes the 80" RLL-80-2 Race Ramps and jack stands. But some items like floor jacks and ramps packed in longer boxes are just too expensive to ship to HI.
