2021 C6 of the Year Finalist - Unmodified
I will be keeping my C6 through the next generation.
I finally saw the C7 at todays Corvette's for Chip show. There is no way one of those will find its way into my garage. To me there is not one angle of that car that looks better than the same shot of a C6. Sorry For those who like it, but it doesn't work for me. The back is even uglier in person. The wheels don't look bad.

sorry, i differ in my opinion. i think the back end is better than the c6, matter of fact, the entire car is better styled. if we don't buy a new house, then i'll trade up my 013 for the c7. going over to the dark side.

Disagree, but that's ok....we don't all need to have the same likes and dislikes. A member of my Corvette club came by today with his Torch Red C7. The car is beautiful…..no ifs, ands or buts.
BTW, I still love my C6 GS and I plan to keep it for a long time.

My son, a lead master mechanic with Nissan, told me that he likes the C6s better than the new ones. I thought that was kind of odd, since I was pretty excited about the new model.
Since emotions generally block out the ability to evaluate on a finer level, and did my best to let my brain logically go over the C7's styling. I found there were two issues I didn't like. First, the tail lights leave me wanting, and they do look like the Camaro's. The style looks fine on the Camaro, but the overall design is Camaro's. Second, the grille bar looks so bad to me it would either have to be removed, or at least painted matte black. The worst part is it has a chrome look, but even painted, for me it has a 50's look. Belongs more on a Buick.
The C7s are nice looking cars, and they definitely raise the emotional level, but I believe the mark was missed. When the Z06 version, or what ever they will call the higher performance model, comes out I'm sure it will look a little different. The grill bar probably won't be there, but the tail lights are there to stay.

I was in Bowling Green three days ago and there were several C7's on display on the factory grounds and at the museum. Looking at my side-by-side photo, both generations look good. The interior of the C7 is killer, and lot's of red interiors are being ordered. That being said, the Alice Cooper tail light surrounds (and overall look of the rear end) bother me. I'm hoping for a mid-design cycle revamp. I'll hold on to my C6 for awhile and see what happens.

Saw one the other and I think it looks way better than the C6, it will be a big winner for GM.

I still like my C6 but if money wasn't an issue, it would be gone in a heartbeat for a C7...

2018 C6 of Year Winner
I owned a C1, C2 and steel-bumpered C3 and hated the rubber-bumper C3's. I eventually owned a `74 and loved the car.
Disliked the C4 - owned 3 of them and thought I would be buried in the `96.
Disliked the C5 - owned a 2000 for 8 years and cried when it sold.
Disliked the C6 - now own a Grand Sport and love everything about it, including the non-popup lights!
Love the C7 - even the taillights. Hopefully will own one someday.
It's a matter of perspective. Corvette enthusiast's seem to be resistant to change, but as we go along and learn more about the technological and engineering advancements, the little visual things we didn't like at first grow on us.

I initially thought I would keep my 427 vert and pick up a c7 coupe. I am now thinking twice about that, hoping they come out with a souped up vert in January so I can order one.
