Question on what to look/ask for on 2008 C6
Hey guys so I might be upgrading to a 2008 Couple (From 2001 Coupe)
This car seems to have every option I've wanted except it's silver (I don't mind that too much...too bad it's not red ;])
What should I look out for? It has 53000 miles and doesn't look like it's ever been serviced (Carfax). But it's one owner and only in this city.
What do you guys think? Fair price?

Le Mans Master
Can't tell what the price is by clicking the link ... it says to contact them.
And almost all the "installed options" are standard equipment. Actually, looks like everything except the extra top are standard but I just scanned the list.
Other than that, the car looks good. And 52,000 miles is not excessive for a 5-year old car, but you can easily find one with a lot lower miles and probably in the color you really want.

53,000 miles is not low mileage, there is a beautiful red 2008 3LT in the C6's For Sale section here on the forum at a great deal for $30,000 with 29,000 miles on it. Unless that one is a super duper great price I would probably wait and be patient and find the one you want at a better price and better miles than that silver car that you don't really like the color of. Be willing to travel to go get your dream car, nothing more fun then a road trip driving home a cool Corvette!

My advice would be to take the car to a Corvette specialist (preferably) or a dealer, have them go over it with a fine tooth comb, and give you a list of any maintenance, repair, or replacement items it needs. You'll have peace of mind, know what you're getting into, and have a great bargaining chip with the present owner.
If you have to convince yourself to buy it, don't.
Good luck!

I wouldn't buy a Corvette that wasn't the color I wanted unless it was to resell at a profit. That is not low mileage for a vette, there are plenty of garage queens out there. Keep looking and be willing to travel. I got exactly the 2008 I was looking for last spring with 3,000 miles for a bit more than 1/3 off original sticker price.

They are asking 29k for it but I haven't talked him down yet. What would be a fair price? Is buying from a private seller the same? I'm trying to trade in my 2001 C5
