Default Anyones C6 Pinging?

Just trying to find out if anyone has had issues with pinging when accelerating. I live in California and can only find 91 octane gas (Union 76 or Mobil is what I use). I'm thinking that I probably need to add an octane booster to my fill-ups. I only seem to notice this when I jump on it. Tried to find this on a search with no luck, so I apologize if this is a dupe question.

Thanks,

PvK

No knocking/pinging here, but I always use Mobil 93.

On page 5-5, the owner's manual says 91 octane should be okay. They talk about getting a heavy knocking noise if you use octane 87.

I haven't used anything less than 92 in 7 years the few dollars more per fill up to me is well worth it.

The highest octane I can find in So Cal so far has been 91. I had heard that it has something to do with the friggin pollution / emission requirements established for California.

I also live in CA and can only get 91. I get pinging with Shell and Costco gas. No pinging with Mobil or Chevron.

93 is the highest I've seen in mid-TN.
