Some kind of pressure relief valve within the pump sticks/fails causing low or no oil pressure how nice. # PIP 4158F

As far as I've read, this has been an ongoing problem since the first LS1s. I think what can happen is debris gets caught in the pressure relief valve on the oil pump and it can't close so you lose oil pressure to the rest of the motor. More prone to happen, for example, if you recently did a cam swap.
