front tire alignment after gator
so 3 days ago a semi kicked up a tire tread at me. I ended up driving over it on a slight angle on the front passenger side tire at about 78mph. I could instantly feel a vibration in the steering wheel. I took it to my dealer yesterday and they think the front tire is just out of alignment now. I need to bring it back in tomorrow morning. Rim looked fine.
Anyone have experience with this?

Tires getting checked and balanced tuesday. Just wondering if there is anything else I can look into.
All the wheel weights appear to be there still.
Rim looks fine as far as shining a flashlight looking for cracks or being bent
Tire appears to be fine with no marks or bulges on it.
I can feel the vibration from about 25mph and up. It just gets slightly worse as I speed up. Steering wheel is still center and doesn't pull any direction.

If they didn't take the wheel off and spin it while watching the wheel to see if it wobbles they didn't check to see it was bent. It could be bent in the area around the hub which means it can't be fixed. If the item was moving when you hit it your comprehensive insurance should cover replacing the wheel.

Dealer sent the vette to their tire guys. They said that the rim does need to be replaced but the tire is fine.
Now I am going to be paranoid about every semi I drive by. Would have never thought a tire tread could wipe out my rims.
