Default What are your thoughts on this car?

I have my heart set on the 2014 C7 Stingray, but there appears to be amazing deals on 2013 C6 Vettes.

What do y'all think of this vette as far as price and features?

For that kind of money you can get into a C7 and if that is your dream I would follow it.

Doesn't seem like a great deal to me. I just checked a local dealer here in Ri and they have a Grey 2lt coupe, auto in stock with a list of 65,525 for 53,488.

It seems to me that you answered you real question. If your heart is set on the C7 don't buy the 2013. You will most likely regret it down the road. With a MSRP of just under $52K you can add some options to the C7 and have what you really want.

That's not a special deal. You can buy a 3LT with less than 5k miles for 10-grand less. I think that puts your depreciation reality into view.

For that money, go for the C7.

Call Kerbeck, they gave me a 2LT 427 Convertible for $68K, with the red calipers, and the ZR1 wheel and tire package!!

That's not a good deal at all.

Doesn't sound like a great deal. In Oct. 2012, I purchased a ’13 GS 2LT with a $66,xxx sticker for $55,xxx plus an additional $3K off because I currently had a Vette. Some parts of the country are more flexible with discounts.

Go East young man, go East!
Do a search on some of the supporting vendors on this site and you will be more impressed.
That car....just a deal, not a good deal. Look around.

Get the C7 if that is what you want. You will be sorry if you don't.There is a good reason why the dealers are trying to dump the C6's and that is not because they are good looking and everyone wants one.

2013 Grand Sport Coupe - 2LT - Automatic

MSRP.........$64,595
Sale Price...$57,889
Any of the forum dealers would be discounting that car by at least $11,000 (not including Corvette Loyalty). That car is only being discounted about $7,000. Their price isn't in the ballpark of what it should cost you.

Dealers aren't giving away C6s right now. If you are looking for a fire sale price on a C6, you need to wait a little longer.

c7 without a doubt. even if you have too wait a little for the car. call linsday chev. they'll hook you up. a much better car then the c6 if you believe the stats. i think the car is a real beauty, taillights included. i wish i had waited instead of buying the 013 base. on the c6 forum all they do is claim they're car is better when it comes to the base and gs. with the c7, it's better than both, no arguing about that. and thats just the base model.

If your heart is set on a C7, why not just get it? Sure you will get a great deal on a C6, but you might be happier in the long run with the Vette you really want.

You can get a better price at almost any dealer but that one. I love their 2013 base model with MSRP of $57K "on sale" for $56K. They used to have a 2010 coupe (in 2012) that had been sitting on their lot all that time. I asked about it and they would only take $4K off. I got a better one elsewhere...

Yeah, they weren't going to negotiate on it, so I am passing on it. Like it was said above for that price I can get a 2014 C7, so its back to laying in the weeds and see what comes along. I still have my eye on the 2014 C7. Thanks for the opinions!
