Trading '12 Cyber Grey GS for '13 Torch Red GS
What are your thoughts on this? I love the Cyber Grey Metallic but my GM dealer is making an offer I can't refuse on the red 2013 model.

Good luck in whatever you do.

Think about it. The only winner is the dealer. You say you love your Cyber Grey but are willing to spend more for a Red a year, maybe, newer. Who wins? The dealer makes money on the Red one and then sells the Cyber Grey and makes more money. It's your car and your money, why ask here?
Good luck in whatever you do.

About the only things you will gain is a longer warranty and new tires. Is the difference worth those two things?

I think the GS looks bada$$ in red. If what your saying is for real, go for it. What are the specs of both cars? I dont get how you wouldn't be throwing some more bones down, but if you dont have to thats pretty cool.

If that's the case, go for it. No reason not to assuming it's equipped like you want it to be. I would.

I do have an Escort 9500ix with the Blendmount so all should be okay...

There is a reason they are doing the deal. maybe they just want the new one off their books? maybe gm is offering them enough incentive to clear the inventory, maybe its a lesser car, who knows?
The old saying if its too good to be true.....perhaps it is.
look at it hard before taking the plunge. from my chair, if you get the same car, for the same money and want the red, why not? also another year of warranty? I can tell you this, I bought a night race blue 427 vert. if I could find an orange 427 vert new right now, I would make the move too. I like change, and find that combo to be to my liking.

BTW ... the idea that police go after a red Vette quicker is a myth ... or so some say. I say that with tongue in cheek since I have a red one (crystal red, but still red) and got my first speeding ticket in over 20 years a couple of weeks ago. It was in a speed trap though ... nasty cops.
Seriously though, red is a better choice. Black is REALLY hard to maintain, and I say that from experience. Every little minute scratch shows up.

With the $3,000 owner loyalty money that you qualify for they can sell you the new one for less than they could sell it to a buyer who does not qualify for that incentive. They can sell your car to first time buyer for a better price than they could sell him or her the new car. So it becomes a win-win.

Does not make much sense to me, same car basically different color. If you were moving up to a C7 with a great deal than that is another story.
