I tried plastidipping mine black but pealed it off after a few weeks. Left the barrels black for easier brake dust clean up. I may try white next. Going for the 88 look.

Those white wheels do look good. How do they clean up from the brake dust?
White wheels, black barrels, white calipers might look good

That's actually a cool idea plastidipping the back sides...

My two cents: stick with chrome or white. Unless you want to change your top to a black one and get some window tint, then you could do some black rims.

As far as white rims go, they look awesome when they are clean, but you leave and drive 20 min down the road and they look good from a distance but up close they are dusty again. That's just been my experience for what it's worth.

normal driving, I clean them about once a week. If you do any sort of hard stops, it's a couple of days before they are dusty. I currently have the barrels white, but definitely don't recommend that. Darn near impossible to clean and keep clean without taking the wheel off. Rotors drip rusty water after washing. I plan on black barrels soon as I get time.

How about a red stripe around the outer edge of the rim ala '78 Indy Pace Car?

Same thing with your grey(?) top. Your car is already unique.
I like Allen;s photoshop rendering. But he had to change the top color to black. And after all is said and done, it looks like most of the other white verts.
You can spend the money to be like the others or do a few things to your existing car to bring out the pizzaz. I have design experience. But this is just my opinion This is what I'd do. I'd forget changing the wheels. Put red calipers on the car and paint the barrels black. Then go to Vette Stripes and look around and maybe do some hood stripes like this which I think is a minimalist

or go with racing stripes in the color of the top to pull the colors together.

FWIW, they even have wheels stuff. Not sure how that holds up though.

SorryI didn't give you what you asked for and I hope I haven't confused you. But as I say, we share a common problem. Neither of our cars exteriors are easily changed without looking worse. I went through this last winter and spring and wore myself out trying to come up with different wheels and decided on a minimalist approach. Sorry I don't have photoshop abilities. But I do have some design abilities. Hope I've helped some.
