Default Weight of Grand Sport Coupe

I thought I've read some weight specs on the C6 Vettes that said they were about 3,200 lbs or so. When getting my car inspected this week, my friend pointed out the door sticker showing weight of over 3,800 lbs. Seems a little heavy (not that I'm going to rush out and sell the car or anything). Just curious...anybody have more info?

The 3800 is probably the gross vehicle weight, meaning the car, two people, luggage, and a full tank of gas. The curb weight, meaning just the car, is about 3200-3300 lbs. Pretty light car. And the Z06 is even less.

Curb weight on the base C6 coupe is 3208 and is 3311 on the GS coupe.

To find the actual weight of a particular car, take the Gross weight( found on the door label) and subtract the maximum cargo(includes people) weight(found on the driver's door jam label).

For example, my 2009 Z06 has a curb weight of 3175, according to GM, but that is for a no optioned car. My car is a 2LZ, NAV and chromes.

Drivers door label shows the GVWR as 3651 pounds and the drivers door jam label shows the max cargo weight of 423 pounds.

That means my particular car weighs 3228 pounds with full fluids but no driver. The options added 53 pounds.

it's around 3333lbs, 100lbs heavier than a narrow body C6 (3212lbs). Z06 is 3185lbs. ZR1 is around weight of a GS.

You want a real weight? Take the car to a scale.

Where would you find one that is accurate?

Some truck stops have them. All public grain elevators have certified scales. I'd call before showing up at a grain elevator in a vette though
