If he can get ethanol free gas than yes. If not fill up the car with ethanol gas and throw some treatment in it.

My car sat for no more than a month last winter. I do nothing except push the stop button. I will put a battery tender on after about two weeks of inactivity.

Lots of good informatio here as always. I may have to store my GS off site with no electrical hookup available for a battery tender. If I disconnect the battery I lose all my settings which is not a huge deal but a PIA. How often and for how long should I start the car while stored away from home?

Change oil & filter, wash and wax, vacuum the interior, use a Battery Tender, fill with fuel and use Sta-bil, inflate tires to 35-40, cover it up and it will be fine.

I stored mine, now that im up in WI. I cover it and put a battery ten. on it. That being said, winters are long up here so I give the car a winter of deep cleaning, taking apart stuff cleaning it in areas I didn't know I could clean I dont start it up though. I leave it off and turn it on only when it's time for the first ride about 7months later.

I have been changing my oil typically before storage, there are mixed views opinions on that. I spoke with Jason at Katech about this last year, and he told me to leave the oil in the car and do not change before storage. His opinion was that putting new oil in the car and then throwing it in storage, the oil builds up moister while sitting in it...not really good for engine upon start up etc...
He told me letting the car sit with dirty oil in it is not going to hurt anything...after all car is not running anyway, and with todays oils its not really an issue.

I made my judgement on where that absorbed water goes when the oil temp reaches 212F. The water outgasses and goes through the PCV valve. So it sits in clean oil and any water is removed within 10 minutes of starting the engine.
Who knows and does it matter?

Why do you store your Vettes? Why not just drive them? I know they don't do too well in snow (not many cars do), but the ground (or the streets) is not covered in snow and ice all the time.
Do you store all your cars and walk all winter?

Winter Storage?
Storage? I just drive it anytime the weather permits. Just take it easy with those Goodyear Run Flats. Yeah, I know .... The Salt, the salt, the salt.
Enjoy.
Enjoy.

I just started the cars, about once every 10 days, and ran them for about 30 minutes.
That's enough time for the charging system to recover from the current used in the startup, as well as top off the battery to full charge.
Never had an issue using that proceedure.
